This shot looks from the dining area into the kitchen. All cabinetry is original, as is the one-piece stainless steel countertop/drainboard/sink unit. The cabinet closest to us in this shot is on wheels and can be moved about.

The north/outside wall includes an original wall clock that will require work to restore operability.

Restoration of the kitchen presents some minor challenges, but also an opportunity to create a functional and very design-appropriate space. The current appliances (refridgerator and stove) need to be replaced. A dishwasher (perahaps a smaller-than-typical model) should be incorporated. The open-shelf cabinets above the sink originally included Masonite sliding doors; I would recommend installation of design-appropriate (corrugated and/or frosted) glass or Plexiglass panels.

I took a selection of films with me, so Anna and her colleagues can keep themselves entertained. I seemed to be the only fan of Broken Flowers. Little Miss Sunshine, one of the funniest films I have ever seen, met with universal acclaim. I also heartily recommend Sideways (thanks, Greg) and Kitchen Stories (thanks, Simon).
