BBC Radio Greeen, 8-10, Designs, or system designs in this kind of transitional time. 1: Get you back in touch with the nature - of your body. Usually that's refreshing. 2: [We can] start from the one starting end of the day. [Let's check up and 'secure' from one end.] Because if you have least 'crap' in [and around] yourself from the very starting part of the day, you'd be better off for the rest of the day. [Especially, it probably is meaningful to have focus on the starting up, waking up process of our body - including brains and neural systems and blood circulation and so on.] -Thus the idea of '8-10' - signifying how we try to smartly work on 'transition' from the morning, waking up process, and we do collab on this over the network, across the globe, with everyone. [- *We might even find that our morning is filled with full of brutal stuff...kind of?] If you put crap in your body, then it can make everything after that tougher. Starting with oatmeal is better for your blood sugar systems than starting with high fructose corn syrup and refined sugars - found in cereals and found in drinks. . [Hope we'd be able to measure the perfomance and 'feel' difference of the day. There already are some research? done: NPR's oatmeal talk, and Wholefood's oatmeal thing: We will quote/link them soon. ] So we start to reclaim and secure our lives from this side. And if we secure first 2 hours (I know there are lot of tough stuff in there) then say we got our starting base of the day secured. Then we might be able to move on to tackle 10-12, then we may be able to tackle further... We are a living creatures, what we put in our mouth sure affect how we go later (usually very quick). And if we get quirky, exhausted in first few hours of the day, [and what's available as our lunch is again full of HFCS and refined sugars and then additives and good amount of salt and so on]...we just spiral out... That's the idea. Iron out 'crap' came into our lives from one end and streamline and calibrate, recalibrate ourselves. And our design of appliances, PC, web can be coordinated with this effort.[or those tools and information architecture thing can be used for achieving this purpose.] And I want this to be 'common campaign idea'. Tree Hugger, BBC website, World Changing, Green Options, Wikipedia, Squeak, OLPC, Apple computers and Microsoft and Freeware people, Open source people, and Flickr people - all can work on this, work for this. Wholefoods to Walmart to Tesco can have a section which provide 'really better things' for our morning hours. Food makers can shift their research efforts and really offer better breakfast stuff. So that we would be able to work on this transitional time of history, with more sanity and vitality and senses. We get to our 'motor' - engine - starting smoothly and in good shape every morning, We can't make it cranky or starving or 'duped' or spiked from the morning, because that'd make tougher and tougher to go through the rest of the day, which tend to get filled with - especially when you have unlucky 'typical American day' - whole loads of crap. --- [below is draft.] *Back in touch with the nature within yourself, I don't know having good glass of just simple water would really curve all the adult diseases - we are having in USA and across the world. Or that would makes us smarter or more humane or not. Will it makes us more ethical? - I don't know. But there are things to be thought about and explored here. Say if one comes back to get in touch with senses with oneself's body - physical condition and then her/his senses, scanning, filtering, detecting and thinking capacity is enhanced or re-calibrated. [like hospital with nature thing - if it only sells soft drinks, what's it?] With that re-calibrated senses and filtering capacity, thinking capacity she or he'd be able to deal with other things. And that might be one of the capacity we need to recalibrate within ourselves to get out all the craps out of our way, in our foods, in our softwares, web architecture and so on. We tend to put crap over the crap. And say it will work. We've been doing that for long. But we need to come back to be able to say 'that's crap, that's holey goddamn crap!'. Increasing such autonomous agents, might make world go this transition, with bit more fun and intelligence and many more faces of - us human beings, with smiles, energies, tolerance, and even care. [below is draft, sorry for viewers who came in and saw. We are very busy so sometimes we are like bad punk bands sludging over worst, lowest gig performance. ] 1: It's a glass of water. And that's kind of how it starts every day. And probably this is one of the things/items in earliest hours or minutes of our lives, every single day. 2: Why this is related to BBC Radio Green or the design and architecture of Global Green Portal? : I will explain the line of thoughts. 3: This is even relevant to how we design OS, Operating Systems and PCs and gadgets - and neworks. +++ Is there surely science behind this ide Mitcham Cricketers . 30/04/10 Just a quick shot the a bus window at Mitcham Cricketers Green, the actual green is behind the camera, this is a green area inside a oneway system which includes Mitcham fire station, apparently the Merccedes appliance is left outside for a great part of the time due to the doorways being very narrow. Hope to take some more closer shots soon.
