Creating a drum skin for a huge ceremonial drum (pictured elsewhere in this photostream). for the Deliberate Motion Blur group: I use a point-and-shoot Olympus camera and always turn the flash off. This started because I dislike flashes and wanted to work with the "problem" of blurry pictures at low light levels. When I found that blurs could be beautiful, I started looking for chances to capture action or create action by moving the camera during the camera's automatic exposure. In this workshop there wasn't much light. The drum-maker was still except for his hand and hammer and I wanted to give a sense of how intensely focused his work was. I thought the blur would help do that. Too Many Hammers I have two arms, but I have found that it almost never pays to use two hammers at once. Unlike clamps, you can have too many hammers, expecially when five of them are the same weight and size... Time to start a box of tools to give away. hammered copper dining table The Milan stools feature delicately curved legs and sleigh inspired backs, with a hammered copper effect featured on the back.
