OK, not a snappy title, but that's what it is.

I must be attuned to reflections. Wherever I am, I notice reflections. We were sat at a table in the outdoor restaurant of this stately home, and I saw this chrome barrier stand reflecting the whole building. I started photographing it. Paul (my brother-in-law) joked about it: "what's he doing now?" - I have a reputation for photographing just about everything. But when he saw it he started photographing it too.

I'm hoping Paul uploads his photos too. He kept trying to shoo me out of his shot. Wonder if I crept into any?

When I look at this photo it feels kind of strange. I think my eyes follow it or process it in a clockwise direction. It's like a twist. Hard to explain, but it's a feeling. I'm drawn to the hoop on the end of the blue rope, then I go up and left around the building.

Shot at 200mm and f/10. 200mm keeps me in the background! F/10 keeps lots of the reflection in focus!

On our never-ending quest to fill our French house with as much junk as possible, we found this small stove at the Lyon flea market, cost $40. A couple of hours cleaning out the cinders, scrubbing the enamel and buffing the chrome and bingo, we had just the right sized table for our vintage butcher's scale.
