So my dad gives me a letter when we're on vacation and says, "oh yeah, there's an immediate recall for your pump. This came a month ago.". A MONTH!. Jeez, I'm glad it wasn't a real emergency.... The letter warned that if the battery compartment is not screwed in all the way the pump can lose power without alarming. I've never had this happen, but that'd be a bummer. So, if you have a Cozmo 1700 or 1800 make sure the battery is screwed in as tightly as possible. Diabetes365 Day 19- November 20, 2007- The Utility belt. Every day for work I have my ID, Deltec Cozmo Insulin Pump, and my newly added Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring System. It is a little much, but I try to balance them out and also try not to wreck my betls with all the wear and tear. It's very difficult to explain to people why I need both the dexcom to monitor and the cozmo to deliver insulin. People who have known me for years seem to have thought that my pump already kept track of my bloodsugar at all times.
