Izgleda da novom glazbom (najčešće nepravedno pejoriziranu sintagmom "elektronska") trenutno dominiraju žene. Na tragu svojih prethodnica (Meredith Monk,Lydia Lunch,Diamanda Galas, Laurie Anderson) i današnje autorice ponovno donose toliko potrebnu svježinu na povremeno ustajalu glazbenu scenu. Vješte u snalaženju s novim tehnologijama, obdarene posebnim talentom glazbene intuicije one otvaraju neka presudna pitanja koja muškom umu izmiču kao nevažna. Sarah Peebles npr. dodaje prirodnost u hladan elektronski život glazbe. Njezin album "Insect Groove" iako procesiran kroz matematičnost softwarea doista zvuči poput livade u podne. Život elektronskih buba postaje stvarno iskustvo. Software za oživljavanje napisala je sama. Sawako pak kao zvučne teksture koristi snimke svakodnevnog života. Potom ih suptilno dekonstruira i kao takve koristi kao pozadine i melodije. Kvalitet koji ne dira dok rastavlja zvukove jest atmosfera sama. Upravo to daje šarm njenim djelima.Mileece potpuno generira svoj rad u računalu. Nju zanimaju suptilnosti mikrotonova koje SuperCollider nudi. Ostavlja softwareu maksimalnu mogučnost da joj bude suradnik i zajedno s njim pokušava stvoriti formu dovoljno otvorenu da započne vlastiti život.
