Stan (last name withheld) is standing on the sidewalk in front of the White House. He is wearing blue jeans, white sneakers, a white T-shirt, a navy blue turtle neck top underneath the T-Shirt and a brown beret. He is holding a red protest sign in his hands with the inscriptions "OUT OF IRAQ" and in much smaller letters "and Pakistan."
Stan is a Christian pacifist. He has been protesting against the war in Iraq, in front of the White House, since March 2005. He comes in for an hour every day and stands by a corner and sings religious hymns. He quotes the bible in his speech when talking to passersby.
