Baby Brownie The Baby Brownie was the first Kodak camera to be made of moulded plastic. The bakelite Art Deco style body was designed by the company formed by Walter Dorwin Teague, who worked with Kodak from 1928, and it was introduced in 1941. In the UK it was available until the very early 1950s. I forgot how small this actually was - measuring just 76mm x 70mm x 65mm. This old family camera is shown here with some print wallets, although most are somewhat later in date than the Brownie. W.D. Teague was on the design board for the 1939 World's Fair, he was also involved with the first Polaroid camera and the interiors of Boeing aeroplanes. He started out as an advertising illustrator, produced layout and border designs for Time magazine in the 1920s and was greatly influenced by the work of Le Corbusier. This led to his career in designing and restyling products and packaging. my mug, circa 1965 My baby cup. There's a plastic lid, broken. Two handles, just like the one Tommee TIppee is drinking from. The cup tips, but rights itself on its weighted, rounded bottom. Time to let this go - but now I have a photo. I'm finding confusing information, trying to research it -several sellers call these cups "1950s" (and all seem to have different lids; I also saw a red base), one says it was manufactured in California, but someone else says the company (which seems to be selling successful baby products now) started in 1965, in the UK. That would make sense to me - I would have been ready for a cup in 1965.
