The brothers were SO dedicated to having everything renaissance in their house that they even had renaissance baby furniture - you can see two chairs, a walker that dates to the sixteenth century and that was actually used by the Bagatti Valsecchi children, and a "commode" (or as we would say, "potty") that looks like the kind of throne the Christ child is sometimes depicted enthroned on. Again I kept thinking of the poor wife - let's just hope she shared the brothers' passion for Living the Dream. One of the most interesting things about the audioguide for this museum was that parts of it were narrated by a current representative of the Bagatti Valsecchi family, who was a grandson of the one brother. He shared various recollections of life in the house, and was saying that this was the room in which the whole family gathered around to watch the moon landing.
