140/365 Brought my car to my Uncle's shop to get the air conditioning fixed, on the way, I have zero recollection of most of the driving trip, I have no idea why.. honestly, so weird. Talked to Aunt Kate for a while, then went to the dermatologist while I was waiting. Got yet ANOTHER shot, ninth one, second doctor, in two months, over kill. Went to get the rest of my dorm stuff, refrigerator, microwave, hamper, iron, plates, dishwasher stuff, laundry stuff, etc. SOOOOO EXPENSIVEEEEEEE. There's not enough money in this world for the amount of things college entails, it's just ridiculous. Went to Best Buy and convinced them to let me exchange my GPS, I got a newer Tom Tom with Lifetime Map Updates, ooooooh aaaaaaah. I like it a lot. Picked up Dania, picked up my car, and went to the mall with her and my cousin Chelsea. Finally bought the sheets, not as high of a thread count as I would like, but they're Tommy Hilfiger with little fish all over them, which automatically makes them awesome. Family all went to Olive Garden, I was not invited. (...............) uh Came back to the house, took some Mac pictures and made some brownies. Brought Dania home and picked up Patrick. Hung out at his house for a while and then ventured over to 7-11, Steak and Shake parking lot and my house. Ended up watching a bunch of YouTube videos, like Gingers Have Souls and freestyle/rap battles. Then, I took him home. One more day in town, this has come so fast... if ya know what I mean.. but no, really, it has arrived sooner than I could have imagined, this is just insane. I have to buy shorts tomorrow and the rest of the stuff I need. Wishjfjkdshfjkdhjshdk. What. Sgt. Slaughter What's worse that Duke? Why, Sgt Slaughter, of course! Honestly, I must admit, when I first heard that they were going to make Sgt Slaughter into a GI Joe, I was excited. I did think that the idea of making real people into members of a fictional military unit was odd, but it sure made more sense to have Sgt Slaughter as a Joe than making a football player like William "Refrigerator" Perry into a Joe ( the reason I never sent away for his figure), since at least Sgt Slaughter was a military themed wrestler. And back then, I liked wrestling, even as a kid, I knew it was all fake, but it was fun, like a crazy, stupid violent soap opera. This, of course was before they hit upon the brilliant but evil formula of using all the wrestling matches you could watch on TV for free to introduce new badass characters and set up rivalries that would only ever be resolved in big, expensive Pay Per View events. Once that practice became standard I recognized it for the scam it was and stopped watching wrestling. I even bought the "Triple T" tank to get the Sgt Slaughter figure. He showed up briefly in the GI Joe comics, just long enough to kick Zartan's butt, which was pretty cool. Then he showed up in the cartoon......and then my perception of having him on the Joe team changed pretty abruptly! He was voiced by the real Sgt Slaughter and boy, did his voice (which was okay in small doses in a wrestling match) start to grate on my nerves! He was supposed to sound tough, but instead he sounded like he was severely constipated! And they made him ridiculously strong, almost like he was Superman! Then he started showing up in the GI Joe toy commercials shouting at me! The Joe commercials used to be pretty enjoyable because they often featured really cool animation (better quality than the actual cartoon episodes), but now they just featured this loud, constipated guy screaming at me! Then they started having him introduce the Joe cartoons when they went into reruns, which made them almost unwatchable to me! A few years later, while flipping through the channels I saw that Sgt Slaughter had turned into a bad guy or in wrestling parlance, a "heel" and was supporting the Iraqis during the 1rst Gulf War, making him a "traitor". It amused me to no end because I was wondering how Hasbro would explain THAT one! Little did I know that he had already ended his association with GI Joe, oh well too bad I would've liked to have seen him become a hated and reviled traitor in the eyes of the Joes! Because of my ambivalent feelings regarding the good Sergeant, I held off from buying a toy of him to add to my current collection for quite some time, but eventually decided that my collection wouldn't feel quite complete without him. I decided to get this version of him since it's the only one with a removable hat and he looks more "soldierly" than any of the others. He also has a cool Marine Corps belt buckle. as figures go, this is a pretty cool one, he definitely has an imposing presence that many of the other figs lack. Now I can make up new photo stories in which to torture the Sergeant for almost singlehandedly ruining GI JOe for me! MUHAHAHAHAAHAHA! Emerson Chambers - 246/365 Emerson Chambers (1903) - I make no apologies for including this, although it is a view many will have seen a dozen times before. This was the last of Simpson's architectural flourishes, as the intervention of the Great War of 1914-18 heralded a new era of functionality and frugality of design. The explosion of motifs and turrets is a contrast with Dobson's classical style and ashlar constructions. It replaced an 1821 Presbyterian Church known as the "Scotch Church". Emerson Chambers is currently occupied by Waterstones, the book store (formerly Dillons). The Art Deco building to the left (or right, as reflected, with flagpoles on the roof) is part of the Fenwick department store. Clay in Motion An early try with my new copper cannon. I feel more comfortable running this thing at higher pressure than the old PVC device. Currently I am limited by my air compressor to about 120psi, I am hoping to find an old refrigerator compressor to get up to 250psi. The cannon is firing nylon cylinders at about 670fps, a fair amount of energy. The target is a slab of grey modeling clay. The PVC pipe is one inch in diameter for scale. Cheers. The ice box, next to the old fridge This is where the ice box will go. The plan is that when it's converted to a fridge, the compressor will go in an 18" tall base cabinet and the ice box will sit on that. The old fridge that blocks it now will be gone. :) Here you can see the inside of the thing, or part of it anyway. FREEZER READY MEALS : READY MEALS
Freezer Ready Meals
Victorian Butcher's Shop c.1900 image above: Unlocated. Butcher's Hanging Meat Display.E.1900s. The photograph below shows the carcasses of a local Bristol butcher (name & location unknown). It was probably taken in early 1900 and shows the freshly butchered animals made ready for sale at Christmas. For many of the poorer families fresh meat was something they could only rarely afford so they would save up to treat themselves at Christmas. The Victorians valued good cooking and food. However, there were great differences between what the rich and poorer people ate. The rich ate a tremendous amount and wasted even more. This wastage was at a time when a large proportion of the population were living on bread, dripping, vegetables and tea. The diet of the very poor was terrible. The unemployed, and others with little money, survived on little more than potato parings, rotten vegetable refuse and scraps. For the destitute, hunger often forced them to seek a place in the workhouse where a diet of potatoes, cheese, bread and gruel was provided. In Victorian times butchers would hang their carcasses in a prominent place to to entice people into their shops. Whereas now we eat meat within a few days of the animal being slaughtered, then it was the custom to let the meat "hang" for several days or longer. This was said to improve the flavour. What's for Dinner ? Everything in the 1950s was better, right? Everyone knew their neighbours. You could leave your bike unchained and no one would nick it. Food was more wholesome. Those were the salad days... Well, the boiled potato days, anyway. Those were the golden days before prawn cocktail-flavoured crisps, fast food, ready meals and grazing sullied the good old British diet, and the obesity epidemic took hold. Due to the economic strain of the Second World War, food was rationed in Britain from 1940 until 1954. As tough as these times were, rationing meant people were forced to follow a lower fat, lower sugar diet. They stayed slimmer as a result and had lower rates of heart disease. Each person was limited to the following per week: 2oz of sweets - equivalent to one bar of Dairy Milk 2oz cheese - two matchboxsized pieces of Cheddar Approx 540g meat - roughly two chicken breasts and one small steak, meaning many meals had to be meat-free Sugar, jam, biscuits, eggs, cooking fat and dairy products were also strictly rationed. More than half of all adults in the UK are now overweight or obese. And obesity among children leapt by 25 per cent between 1995 and 2002. The Government is in despair. There have been calls to put a tax on junk food, to ban it from schools, to restrict the advertising of less healthy foods to children and even to put warning labels on food. Much of what we eat is a part of our culture and it's strongly influenced by the types of foods we can grow locally. So meat and dairy products, bread and potatoes continue to be important even if, for some of us, they now tend to be in the form of hamburgers and frozen chips rather than the traditional roast beef and boiled potatoes. Although the main components of the British diet haven't changed, what has changed is how we put them together and what we add to them. The main constituents are still basically bread, milk, meat and potatoes. But it's still relatively low in fruit and veg and we're eating less fish now than we did in the 1940s and 1950s. Here is a more detailed look at some of the changes in our eating habits that have taken place since the early 1950s: During the Second World War people were encouraged to drink milk because of its high nutritional value, and this was particularly important for children. Our high consumption of milk continued until the mid-1970s, but since then we've been drinking less milk. This is partly because other drinks, and particularly soft drinks, have become more popular. But the good news is that we're now choosing more skimmed and semi-skimmed milk than whole milk. While we're eating about the same amount of cheese and cream as we used to, yoghurt has been increasing in popularity since it became available in the 1970s. The number of eggs we eat peaked in the mid-60s and has been declining since. We now eat less than half the number of eggs we ate in the mid 1950s and 1960s. When the Queen was crowned in 1953, food rationing was still in force, supermarkets were unheard of, and fish and chips were our undisputed national dish. How things have changed. But is our diet more healthy now than it was then? The 60s were also the period when the British began their long-held love affair with shopping, as supermarkets and shopping centres were built. For many this transformed the weekly shop. But for some, there simply wasn't the money to go on a spending spree. The 1960s is renowned for being a decade of change, with different foods and cooking habits being introduced into the kitchen. As people started to take the first package holidays, inspiration wa You Wot? I'm all for ethnic food, but this is ridiculous :-) Found in the freezer section of the Warrrington Sainsburys. A repair man has been out to service it several times, but it's a defect with the motor. Finally, Jean was fed up and filed a complaint with the BBB. Two weeks later, we were offered a new fridge. We got a fancier model; this one has crushed ice & water dispenser. I guess the lesson here is, if you don't like something, be patient & complain. That's Jean's credo, anyway. HOW LONG IS COOKED CHICKEN GOOD IN REFRIGERATOR : HOW L
How Long Is Cooked Chicken Good In Refrigerator
Idi amin story and his cook HE was President Idi Amin's head cook but also served other presidents. Otonde Odera has a riveting story of leaving Naguru death chambers alive but he also has tales of his life as a presidential chef over the years, former president's refrigerator and that the former head of state never ate body parts. Otonde Odera, now aged 70, struggles to hold back tears as he recalls the four nights of terror he spent staring at death in the drab Naguru police station cells outside Kampala. “To my shock and disbelief, mean-faced soldiers stormed my house one fateful night, yanked me away from my terrified family and frog-marched me to a waiting vehicle, even as my wife screamed frantically. I was under arrest for planning to kill the President, they croaked. “After a hellish drive to the unknown, I was tossed like something unwanted into a dark cell full of people waiting to die for various cooked-up offences against the state. The killers, all towering brutes drawn from Amin’s Kakwa tribe, used bludgeons and machetes to finish off the hapless prisoners who numbered in their hundreds. As the prisoners fell one after the other, the killers would say in Kiswahili: tangulia tutakutana kwa Mungu (go ahead, we shall meet in God’s dominion). Otonde re-lives the four nights of horror during which he waited for a weapon to strike him on the nape of his neck, sending him to embrace his ancestors. “On the fourth night, I heard someone shout ‘Wapi Otonde? (Where is Otonde?)’ and I mumbled the last prayers to my creator as my entire body went numb. With my eyes tightly closed for the anticipated final moment, I was suddenly grabbed and hustled into a waiting police 999 car that immediately sped away towards State House. I sat dazed in a stupor. “My wife and children were there, waiting. She was apparently my saviour, having cried all along that I was innocent and could not harm the president I so dearly loved. We were put into a lorry and driven to the Kenya/Uganda border at Busia. The air of freedom flowed into my lungs as soon as I was safely on Kenyan soil and all the way to Asembo, my rural home. Otonde says he had thoroughly enjoyed his work under ldi Amin until some envious people poisoned the President’s mind with lies that he intended to kill him. “He trusted me to cook for him after the ouster of Dr. Milton Obote for whom I had cooked since 1962,” says Otonde. “Amin was a better boss — warm to his employees and generous with his money.” Obote was reserved and mean,” he concludes, an air of finality accompanying his words. As though reading the question in my mind, Otonde adds: “Amin ate normal food and preferred pilau — rice cooked with spices in a style popular with Muslims. He relished Muslim food.” Tickled, I blurt out: “You mean, his refrigerator contained only ordinary foods? No human liver, spleen or heads as is generally rumoured? Otonde smothers my curiosity with a crackling laugh. “Take it from me that Amin was never a cannibal. I took care of his kitchen and refrigerator for years. There was nothing strange. Maybe people thought he ate body parts because of the many killings he ordered, including those of two of his wives, Norah and Kay. I have told you of my narrow escape. Not that he intended to eat me. He never ate human flesh.” It is also important to note that Amin was a practising Muslim and hence a teetotaller. He loved fun and relished dancing. He married Madina because of her dancing skills. But it was Obote whom Otonde served longest. “He was a bachelor when he took me as a cook. Another of his employees, called Joseph Odongo, who hailed from Gem in Siaya District and had liked my cooking, introduced me to him. “His wife, Miria, came into his life after I had been with him for a while. I was his cook when, with Amin’s help, he successfully flushed the Kabaka, Sir Edward Muteesa out of Mengo and into exile and declared himself President of the Republic of Uganda. My fortunes changed with the revolution. A sleek Mercedes Benz car was immediately assigned to me, because I was the President’s cook. Miria’s arrival at State House certainly had an impact on Obote’s trusted head cook. Otonde, with a wry grin says, “She was jittery about Obote’s liking for me, fearing that it would interfere with her influence. She actually attempted to have me shoved aside for a person of her choice, but Obote learnt about her machinations and foiled the attempt. I remained pretty secure in my position.” Otonde, who had learnt how to drive while in Uganda, managed to secure a job with Kenya’s National Housing Corporation (NHC) after he was thrown out by Amin. “After a stint without a job, I was hired to drive then NHC managing director Samuel Ayany. But, as fate would have it, Obote returned to power in 1980 following the brief regimes of Yusuf Lule, Godfrey Binaisa and Paulo Muwanga. No sooner was he at State House than Obote sent word that he wanted me back. “The p I Don't Even Like Beef Stew I don't really like beef stew. I know, weird, huh? I like it more than pot roast but even as a little kid I was never terribly fond of beef stew. I think it's a long cooked beef thing. But last week I wanted to invite friends over for dinner and only a weeknight could work. That meant crock pot (we had a party to go to that evening so time was too short for much cooking at all), but I needed a relatively failsafe recipe. I was entertaining guests after all. Well, crock pots are great for things like stew. So I got out all my recipe books and got on my googling hat... and came up with this. Beef stew to awe those who don't like beef stew :) Crock Pot Beef Stew with Roasted Root Vegetables 2 1/2 lb chuck roast 1/3 cup flour 1 tsp salt, plus more 1/2 tsp pepper 3/4 tsp ground sage cooking fat of your choice (bacon grease?!? or lard or coconut oil) 1 onion, chopped 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 cup red wine 1 cup chicken stock 1 1/2 - 2 cups beef broth 2 tbs tomato paste 1 1/2 cups chopped carrots 2 bay leaves Small sprig of rosemary 1/2 cup frozen peas 1 tsp red wine vinegar A pan full of chopped root vegetables - I used 3 smallish potatoes, 1 turnip and 1 1/2 large parsnips. Onions, carrots, garlic and sweet potatoes would all be wonderful. Oil, salt and pepper for the vegetables The night before: Trim and cut beef into fork sized chunks. Remove most of the gristle and fat, but some will add texture and flavor to the stew. In a zip bag or pie plate combine flour, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper and ground sage. Taste to make sure it is salty enough to not just taste like flour. Mix beef chunks into flour mixture and coat well. Heat cooking oil in a cast iron skillet and cover the bottom of the pan with beef chunks. Make sure to not crowd the pan and brown until at least a couple sides of each chunk are good and browned. Remove to a bowl that will fit all the beef, easily be covered and can go in your refrigerator. Repeat with the rest of the meat When all the meat is browned deglaze the pan with red wine, stir and scrape the browned bits off the bottom and simmer for a minute or two to reduce the liquid. Scrape the liquid into the bowl with the beef. (I did two batches of meat in my 12 inch cast iron and then deglazed the pan, rinsed it and did a third batch. I didn't want the browned bits to get too burned but your pan/stove/etc may be different). Wipe or rinse the pan and heat up another tablespoon or so of fat. Sautee the onions and celery until tender, seasoning with salt, pepper and maybe some thyme, or ground rosemary or even more ground sage. Deglaze or scrape the pan and add the vegetables to the bowl of beef. Place the bowl in the fridge. Wash and chop root vegetables into 1 1/2 - 2 inch chunks. Place in a zippy bag or large covered container in the fridge. In the morning: Place the carrots in the bottom of your crock pot. Pour beef, onions and all the juice from the bowl in the crock pot. Combine the tomato paste with some of the stock and stir to combine. Pour the tomato and all the stock into the crock pot. I added beef broth until it was just under the level of the beef. Tuck the bay and rosemary in the liquid. I wrapped my rosemary in cheesecloth so I wouldn't have to fish out individual rosemary leaves. Turn heat to low and cook for 8-10 hours. Mine cooked for 9 hours and was perfect. In the evening: Turn the oven to 375. Place chopped root vegetables in a baking pan and coat with olive or coconut oil. Salt and pepper liberally and stir to combine everything. Roast until the veggies are tender and browned. Feel free to crank the heat to 425 if they are tender but not yet brown and you are hungry. Should take 20-30 minutes depending on how big your chunks are. Stir the stew, remove bay and rosemary and taste for seasonings. Mine didn't need any more salt but yours might. I did add a tsp of red wine vinegar and it really perked things up. I recommend you do the same :) I also left the cover off while the veggies roasted to allow everything to thicken up a bit more. Defrost peas (I used hot water, but you could throw them frozen into the crock pot half an hour before serving if you remember, like I didn't :) and add them to the stew. Serve by putting veggies in each bowl and pouring stew over top. Serve with buttered bread, red wine and maybe some pickled carrots or a salad. Alternative if you don't own or don't use a crock pot: Instead of putting beef and carrots and stock in a crock pot, put it in a heavy stock pot. Simmer on the stovetop for a couple hours, or bring to a boil and then place in a 350 degree oven for a couple hours. Proceed as above. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Leftovers got eaten over rice as the vegetables went more quickly :) Alyss Similar posts: mini fridges on sale hotpoint fridge freezer silver safety code for mechanical refrigeration gas grill refrigerator glass refrigerator magnets ziploc freezer bag ge profile fridges top of refrigerator soft drink refrigerator refrigerator food magnets |
POWER OUTAGE FOOD IN REFRIGERATOR - POWER OUTAGE FOOD
Power Outage Food In Refrigerator
Power Outage Sunset A significant thunderstorm rolled through metro Detroit on Friday evening, causing a major power disruption to thousands of people in our area. We had a brown out from Friday evening until Monday evening. We had to be very careful with any motor driven electrical appliance during the outage. We conserved water, took bird baths from bottled water and kept the refrigerator on partial power for four days to prevent a total loss of our food. We would turn the refrigerator and freezer on for short burst to keep things preserved. In the end, we did lose our perishables such as mayo, Miracle Whip, milk, sour cream, cheese, salad dressings and eggs. When in doubt, throw it out. We thought our freezer bit the dust, but I started it up again today, and it is now running; thank goodness for small favors. I have a few days to catch up with my photos. We had spotty internet service and I kept my computer and external hard drives disconnected during the outage. I used our laptop to surf the net while I could get on-line. On Saturday and Monday, I had the pleasure to go on a few photowalks to Kensington Metropark with my Twitter, Facebook & Flickr friends Debbie, Mary Jo & Becki. Thanks and check back while I get back up to speed. Last but not least, we had a big celebration yesterday with my daughter's 21st birthday. ComEd Outage Aftermath: Cleaning out the Chest Freezer There was water and ice 4 inches deep in the bottom of the freezer, but everything that was toward the bottom of the freezer and wasn't sitting right in the water was good to keep: they stayed frozen, and what didn't stay frozen stayed cold. My hamburgers, which I make and put in Ziploc bags and freeze, had to go; the buns were keepers. That chub of ground turkey was mostly still frozen, so it's staying. One enduring lesson from these outages: no more ice cream in cardboard cartons. From now on, only plastic buckets. Lord of the Fires: Burning Man article by me in 1995 (I think the original article is somewhere in my storage space, so this image will have to suffice for now) żK? MAGAZINE September/October 1995 “Lord of the Fires: Burning Man” For those whose imagination runs towards an epic scale, the Burning Man beckons. Fire, industrial drum circles, massive structures built and destroyed, costumed and naked people, music, dancing and more fire. Burning Man is a three-day festival held since 1990 in the midst of the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. It originated in 1986 when Larry Harvey built an eight-foot effigy of a man with triangle-shaped head to burn to mark the summer solstice at a beach in San Francisco. What began as an event witnessed by twenty is now a Labor Day weekend arts festival/ritual sacrifice/postmodern carnival of the absurd where all of the 2000-plus attendees are required to be participants—not spectators. A vast empty and ancient lakebed is now a community for a few days complete with four FM radio stations, a daily gazette, landmarks and businesses. It is also one apocalypse of a party. I walk through the city at night trying to find my campsite. Before sunset, I hadn’t imagined how difficult it would be to find it. I learn quickly to recognize the temporary landmarks which help me back. The Burning Man glows brilliantly in red and blue neon to the east, a tall FM antennae has a few large red light on it in the center of the camp near the stage. My address for the weekend is near the brightly lit encampment of the band Polkacide, whose klezmer-playing clarinetist I can sometimes hear. There is so much to look at, to do and to see. Sleep is very low on my list of priorities. Bands and performers, mostly from the Bay Area, are scheduled at the stage, but they rarely stick to the listed times. A mile south of the main camp a rave rages continuously for the whole weekend. There are three different dance areas complete with their own music genres and decorations. I am amazed by the amount of civilization which my fellow campers have brought with them. Theme camps have been organized by different groups for the weekend. At Camp Chaos, a room complete with disco ball hanging from the ceiling, leather sofa, stereo and oriental rug awaits visitors. A theatre group called Crux Productions from NYC has set up twin forty-foot World Trade Center towers out of scaffolding with a swing hanging in-between. Tiki Camp has a fountain and a large cow-shaped hors d’oeuvre table. Someone has built a huge zoetrope, probably twenty-feet in diameter, with neon figures which animate when it spins. At McSatans, campers can purchase burgers and cigarettes. Inside the pyramid-shaped camera obscura, after one has crawled through it’s spiral labyrinth, the world outside is projected onto a large white table, a little more contained and magical than it is in the windy outdoors. Tribalists, clowns, naked people, fire spitters, hackers, metal forgers, aliens, ravers, belly dancers, weirdos, freaks. Mass culture-rejecters all to varying extents. Art camp for pyromaniacs. Questioning status-quo reality by building the first space station in cyberspace is one of the ways founder Larry Harvey describes Burning Man. For those who come out to the desert from the crowded metropolis, it is an escape and a rebuilding of a new smaller city. I was surprised by how many technological amenities were transported out to the vast, cracked landscape. Video projectors, neon, laser lights, refrigeration, porta-potties which were never out of toilet paper, radio stations, sound systems—it was like a big three day film shoot in the middle of nowhere—a commercial for immediacy and poetic terrorism. There was a Man. A Man burned. So did a huge installation called Toyland built by the Los Angeles Cacophony Society. So did an immense organic sculpture known as the Fire Lingam, built by Pepe Ozan out of the actual dust of the playa. San Francisco’s Seemen, a machine arts group, presented “Art of the Ephemeral Spectacle” complete with metal jaws mounted on a golf cart spitting flame and a woman with a metal flame-spitting dildo. The spectators watching this performance got a bit tweaky and started demanding different things to be burnt. First the cry, “Burn the windsock!” was quite popular, and then after the windsock was nicely demolished, the even more popular cry, “Burn the audience!” went up. For an event which demanded no spectators, there were many: tourists and film crews abounded. It felt almost obscene to see so many people there only to document and not to experience. Many discussed the inevitability of the Lollapaloozation of Burning Man: corporate sponsors running amok, MTV filming Summer Break 1996 there, fast food booths and official Burning Man souvenirs—there already are Burning Man t-shirts, videos and glow-in-the-dark Frisbees for sale. Oh well. Some believe that the challenge of the four-day camping experience on the lifeless plain will keep those evils away. Two apt quotes from th Wants list part 3 Here is part 3. Odyssey 2150 & Circuit Breakers The larger cable runs up to the roof for lighting and other equipment. The smaller 8 AWG wire powers the radios, and has ample capacity for a planned carputer setup. 12V circuit breaker is rated at 40-amps. The large terminal connections on either end of the battery have ports on them for two 8 AWG wires, one 4 AWG wire, and one 0 AWG wire. Currently, one 8 AWG connection runs to a distribution block under the passenger seat (replacing the factory CD changer), and the 4 AWG connection runs up to a distribution block on the roof for lights and other equipment. The other 8 AWG connection will be used for engine bay and bumper mounted additions, and the 0 AWG connection will be run to the rear of the vehicle to power the air compressor, fridge, aux. battery, and other "RV" systems. Mini fridge compressor Mini fridge, purchased used for $10. I grabbed the compressor out of this to build a home-made vacuum investing machine.
