High Desert Snows 57 (Please , please press L for black and large to do this image justice) 57 of 365 - Arizona’s high desert is a place to behold. These snows came later in the winter season than in the past, at least according to the local people I talked to. The good news is that the snows mean more moisture for those desert wildflowers yet to bloom. The Mazatzal mountain range can be seen in the distance. They are dominated by Four Peaks (shrouded in clouds and marked by the note), located about 30 miles (50 KM) from here. Distance and scale are difficult to judge in the high desert where one can, at times, see 50 miles (80 km) away. High Desert Dusk January in the High Desert, Sweetwater County, Wyoming, USA.
