Of course, it is impossible to be exhaustive making an inventory of all determinations and interpretations of verticality in all vertical images. But it is always possible to observe in most of images, how verticality introduces different enhancements of these two other omnipresent dimensions : the space and the time. Due to its omnipresence, the orientation enhances the role of gravity in the image interpretation. I am beautiful Second Portrait from yesterday, and Tamara must take all the credit for the focus here as I have yet to figure out how anyone does a self portrait with one of these cameras. Focusing is unlike anything you have used before, and very difficult to get right, how one could do it without the subject is beyond me. This is cropped slightly. I told T to leave the darkslide partly in when shooting to minimise the risk of light leaks, as it was her first time she didn't realise exactly how much you could pull it out before it falls out, si I have cropped the portion of the negative that the slide covered. For those wondering what the point is of LF, take a look at the largest size I have uploaded, the detail is incredible. I can scan these massive, but as I only have a laptop, upload what I can see comfortably for now. Processing is slightly better than the previous, as is scanning and stitching, though dust and artefacts are still evident. I will be shooting a lot more over the weekend whilst I continue to learn what I can do with this camera. I'm feeling quite optimistic, and if things continue in this vein, I will invest in a scanner capable of Large Format, together with better film. The Fomapan and Shanghai I use at present is fine to learn with, but doesn't do the camera justice.
