Legs and aprons are constructed of solid red oak and are smoothly machined with a chemical resistant, earth-friendly UV finish. Book compartment aprons are 13/16" depth by 4-1/2" height with heavy-duty 13 gauge steel corner braces. Book compartments measure 14-1/4" width by 3-7/8" height by 12-3/4" depth. 2-1/4" square red oak legs, with 5/16" hanger bolts installed, are attached to apron with nuts and washers supplied. All tables are equipped with non-skid adjustable glides for precise leveling and rubber leg boots. Tops are screwed to the tables at the factory. Weight capacity is 500 lbs. Measures 54" width by 30" height by 36" depth. 1-1/4" ChemGuard Top.

50s school room with Erna Meyer dolls - window
In Marcie und Bob Tubbs "Dollhouse and Miniature Dolls" sind die Erna-Meyer-Biegepuppen auch mit dieser Schuleinrichtung zu sehen. Sie wurden 1951 hergestellt. Erna Meyer stellte die Puppenmobel nicht selbst her, verkauft sie aber.
Sie sieht noch nackt aus, meine kleine Dorfschule aus den 50er Jahren, mal sehen, was sich im Laufe der Zeit als Deko noch findet...

Work in progress. The accessoires have still to be found for this little village school. I just cleaned the old wood with furniture polish. The text cards above are from a german learning-to-read-box of that period. They show the children sitting around tables in the schoolroom - that means you don't even have to take desks to create a school.

I think i should have taken photos as i built it cause when finished i could only take them from this and the upper room.
Description: this is the dining room, and well you can see that furniture wich acts like a division from the living room but without separating it completely, obiously jaja and well you can see the laundry room compartment.....hey i remembered the name you will notice i didn't in another picture, if you read jaja.
The light comes form the kitchen's window.
