Database is an online open access scientific journal that publishes peer-reviewed research for the presentation of novel ideas in database research and biocuration.

A database consists of an organized collection of data for one or more uses, typically in digital form. One way of classifying databases involves the type of their contents, for example: bibliographic, document-text, statistical.

PHOTO was the name of an American photographic magazine geared towards men. It was published monthly by the Official Magazine Corporation beginning in June 1952.

Photo is a French magazine about photography, published monthly by Hachette Filipacchi Medias. It is mostly focused on artistic aspects of photography rather than technical aspects. The editorial line is mostly oriented toward fashion and nude photography.

Aircraft Database (Part 2)

For those you who have known me some time now know that I try to post various photos here as much as I can. After doing some work on my aviation photo database (over 12,000 photos), I have found out that it is hard to try and post a lot of the photos on to this site. So, I have decided to post 2 pictures that show how my database is broken down and what it contains. I will point out that with the civilian aircraft database has the type of aircraft with a sub-folder for the particular tail numbers. The military database gets into more detail as far as the sub-folders are concerned. I break down the military side in the following way:

Type aircraft
1. Base assigned
a. Unit assigned to
1.) Tail Number/Bureau Number
a.) Airport (ICAO) and date photos were taken

Note: the note attached to the photo shows how this would look.

What I am asking of those who take a look at my site regularly is to provide some suggestions as to what type of aircraft you would like to see. As the suggestions come in, I will work on posting them as time permits. Once the photo is posted, I will even let everyone know who requested it. Please feel free to e-mail me your suggestions.

Celebrating the launch of the Tenement Museum's photo database

On July 20, 2010 we invited photo junkies to take pictures of the museum, which is usually off-limits to photographers, to celebrate the launch of our new photo database.
