Silver Bed I I had been wanting a platform bed for a while, and especially so once I moved in to my new place. I shopped around some and it seemed that my options were an overpriced bed that would cost a ton to ship, or something that was basically 2x4s and plywood that wasn't much cheaper. My sister's boyfriend had a cool platform bed and I said "gee, I'd like one like that" A few months later, I had one, silver. When we were kids, Kate and I would watch TV in my room [yay old black and white Zenith] and I'd lie on my bed and she'd lie under it. She claims this is why she has asthma -- horse hairs drifting down over her while she lay there. We decided to recreate some of our childhood memories with the new furniture. Thanks Ned and Kate. I love this bed. Broken IKEA bed This is what happens when you pay for an IKEA bed that only has 90 days of coverage... if it falls apart (normal wear and tear they called it) and it's been six months, you get to keep it. They say they can't do anything.
