Power lines
These powerlines are owned by the International Transmission Company (a spin-off from Detroit Edison) and help distribute power to the Detroit Metropolitan Area from power plants north and east of the city and from Canada.
Incidentally, these powelines were struck by an F1 tornado in 1997 with no apparent damage.
