Query String Url Filter Web Part
- A component of an HTTP request URL that contains a set of parameters and values that affect the handling of the request.
- The parameters passed to an HTTP server as part of a URL. A query string is used with the GET method and, in a URL, follows the resource location and name.
- In World Wide Web, a query string is the part of a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that contains data to be passed to web applications such as CGI programs.
- (URL Filtering) These products filter Web traffic based on content category, specific URL and time of day in order to give organizations full control over the web browsing activities of their employees.
- A Web Part, also called a Web Widget, is an ASP.NET server control which is added to a Web Part Zone on Web Part Pages by users at run time. The controls enable end users to modify the content, appearance, and behavior of Web pages directly from a browser.
- (Web Parts) Web Parts in Windows SharePoint Services provide developers with a way to create UI elements that support both customization and personalization.
- Components that display content on a page and are the primary means for users to customize/personalize pages.
Appstore suggestion weirdness
I've noticed this from day 1 in 2007, but nobody else has seemingly picked this up.
Weirdness or feature* It's actually only for suggestions and not the search results themselves, but it's puzzling to newbies.
A searchstring will not return some expected apps until you've expanded your query with a extra word. Apps like "Doodle vs Brute" and "Red vs blue" will not be suggested when you just enter 'doodle' or 'red' as search queries.
This makes some apps impossible to find in the Appstore.
I've confirmed this on an iPhone 2G running IOS 3.1.3 and an iPhone 3GS running IOS 4.3.3
Something else I've noticed is that the bundlename of the App can be different than the name of the App itself. This might influence the search query results (?)
If you look at these results they also look weird. Most popular apps first, but not by alphabet (which I would expect)
