Ok...I was tagged by Mr. big24mac and Mr. FRjunkie1981 and after much thought, I was like...Why Not? So I took a new pic for the thread and here are 25 things so you all get to know me a little more....here I go...




1-I was born in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. I am a city boy!!! I lived in Puerto Rico till I was 21 and I am so glad that it is only a 2 hour flight!! I love to visit when I can.

2-My main language is Spanish (obviously) even though I managed to write,read and speak in English also..my thick accent will never leave me...so deal with it!!!! Love to wear black, have my ears pierced and till about two years ago i also had my tongue pierced.

3-Have always dealt with weight issues,I 've been as big as 250 and as moderate as 168...it is a seasonal thing..hehehe..but I knock on wood that I am 100% healthy...or so my Doctor said 2 months ago....

4-I have a younger brother and sister, my sister lives with me and my brother lives with my Dad in Puerto Rico. I used to have an older brother but he died in a car accident when I was 6.

5- Age to me is just a number, I am 39 and I do not feel a day older than 20!!! Hopefully I will continue that way into my "old age".

6- Always felt ugly, growing up..in my teens...horror!!! pimples and glasses...I am glad that my face cleared up and I ditched the glasses in 1988...but still I look at myself in the mirror and see the young boy with glasses and pimples!!!

7-I was married for 10 years to the most wonderful woman I've met, even though we are divorced we continue having a wonderful relationship.

8- I have a daughter who is 12 years old and knows that Daddy spoil her!!!! she is what keeps me going, my very own living doll.

9-Love music and dancing, always with music wherever I go...Does anyone remember that awesome invention called walkman?...of course...I upgraded to Ipod...hehehehe. Madonna has been my "muse" since 1983!!!!

10-Even though I am a 70's kid, I am such a 80's freak!!! I guess I had so much fun in my teen years that they got stuck to me!! the music,the wild clothes...I had a total blast back then so I always have fond memories of my crazy neon colored teen years.

11- A true friend, I think I am an overall good person (other people might say otherwise) but once I am your friend you can bet I can do anything for you. I still keep in contact with friends of mine from Puerto Rico that i know since I was 12.

12- Love to travel, I have been fortunate to be able to travel to many places inside and outside the US, my most memorable trip was a cruise to Alaska. I have many places I will be sure to visit while I am still healthy.

13- Planning to go back to school....I believe that it is never too late to learn something new. A mind is a terrible thing to waste!!!

14- A good listener, for some reason I've been the crying shoulder of my friends for years!!!! hehehehe, I love to listen and be caring.

15- Get bored easily when it comes to the place where I live...for many years I've painted the inside of the house a different color every year...when I was married we had a two story house and it was such a task!!!! so I have learned to slow down and try to enjoy my surroundings for a bit longer....Did I mention that i just painted my bedroom twice this year?

16- Happy alone, I have been alone for almost year and a half after a breakup and I am enjoying being single, I feel complete, I have always been very independent and I do not need anyone by my side to be happy. I am not closing the doors to love...but I am in no rush either, maybe the right one is reading this right now....LOL!!

17- Love pets...but don't have any...pets need love and dedication and I am in my "let's be free" lifestyle so maybe someday when I settle down might get me a cute puppy!!!

18- Family is first to me, it is a very important part of my life and they are always a priority. I cannot wait to have nephews and nieces and eventually my grandsons/daughter!!!

19- I love to read, always did...and I was in a reading books hiatus for many years!!! I am getting back into the habit of relaxing at home reading a good book.

20- Toy collecting!! yes, as you all know by now, I collect toys. My main collection is Barbie and Jem but they are just the tip of the iceberg of my collection. Sometimes my friends do not understand why I "waste money" on toys....sigh.....but I also like cars!!! I have a sport car in my garage that someday will be on the road again!!

21- Touched by the paranormal...I have no idea if it's a gift or simply a coincidence...but ever since I was a kid I sometimes see things...I wish my grandma was still alive...I had a horrible experience back when I was a kid in her house...she was my only witness and I will certainly never forget it!!!!

22- I learned to sew around 10 months ago or so....never paid attention to a sewing machiine (and I have owned one for years) until I decided to sew my own costume for the Barbie Convention...

I am writing this because I never found a good answer before I traveled here. This is the main tower. You can see off to the right through the trees the smaller building. This is called the Cabana building. We stayed on the 7th floor of the tower. Both buildings are newly renovated so they are very nice. In the tower, you can stay ocean front or Ocean/pool side. The other two sides are called city view. They are a little cheaper. The villas (the smaller building) is 9 stories tall. If has Pool/Ocean view or city view. You can see the ocean, but you have the pool in-between you and your view, and a tree might get in the way. Feel free to send me any questions you have before you travel to this hotel. Before I went tons of flickr users answered my questions so I wanted to pass it on.


A note about the 12% Resort Fee. They say they charge you 12% for “resort things”. It doesn’t sound like much but on a $250 a night hotel room it was an extra $30 bucks plus tax. You can decline the resort fee. The only thing we could figure out we lost out on was that we couldn’t get free umbrellas on the beach. This wasn’t a big deal because you can just pay for the umbrella on the spot. $10 bucks I think. Over our 5 day trip we saved $150 bucks and didn’t loose out on a single thing the hotel had to offer. In my opinion, you need to decline this fee when you book or check in. They might try to talk you out of saying you will miss out on valuable things. Its not like you have wristbands and they treat you like 2nd class citizens. No one knows and they treat you the same.
