air filter for compressor - Motor Guard

Motor Guard Corp M-60 1/2" NPT Air Filter

Motor Guard Corp M-60 1/2

The key to efficiency is based on compressing the element axially and forcing it to expand radially against the tapered walls of the housing. This forces the air to pass between the tightly compressed layers along the length of the element, creating a true depth filter versus the conventional method of passing the air through layers of media. Using this unique method of filtration creates a labyrinth of sub-micronic openings from the interlocking fibers on the fabric surfaces, entrapping particles as small as .01 microns.

Amtrak E-8 (A) locomotive # 254, along with a mate # 331, in the SCL railroad yard at Saint Petersburg, Florida, 1973

Amtrak locomotive # 254, an EMD E-8 formerly belonging to the SCL, is followed by an E-8 locomotive #331, formerly belonging to the Union Pacific, are located in the SCL railroad yard at Saint Petersburg, Florida, 1973. The locomotives are being serviced for the next morning departure on the Amtrak Champion. The locomotives will be operated to Washington, D.C., with the train continuing on to New York City. This railroad yard and shop facility was originally the property of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and at this time was operated by the Seaboard Coast Line. The maintenance, repair and service performed on the locomotives include the following areas: headlights and all auxiliary lights, air horns, re-fueling, cooling water, lube oil, generator loading check, electrical system check, traction motors, wheels, bearings, fuel filter and air filter cleaning, check batteries, air compressors, air brake function, controls and electrical cabinet. The locomotives would also receive a wash job prior to departing. The old and historic railroad yard and shops are now long gone, as the yard was mostly shut down after Amtrak discontinued their operations into Pinellas County during the the late 1980's, and the yard and shops were torn down and removed over the following years.

Amtrak EMD SDP40F is being maintained and serviced by SCL Railroad Electrician Charlie Bruorton, as shop foreman Joe looks on at the SCL (former ACL) railroad yard in Saint Petersburg, Florida, 1975

This Amtrak EMD SDP40F locomotive is being maintained and serviced by SCL Railroad Electrician Charlie Bruorton, as the shop foreman Joe looks on at the SCL (former ACL) railroad yard in Saint Petersburg, Florida, during 1975. Prior to Joe becoming shop foreman, Mr. Heart was the shop foreman for as many years as I can remember, going back to the early 50's and probably into the 40's. The duties of an railroad electrician in regard to locomotives is naturally to check out the electrical systems, controls and relays, but also the job expanded in later years to include checking the diesel prime mover, adjusting the governor, cleaning oil filters, fuel filters, air filters, repairing lights, air horns, air compressors, fuel pumps, speed indicators and recorders plus many other auxiliary items. At larger shops they replace traction motors and main wiring as required along with other major electrical components and systems. They also performed load tests and air brake tests.

  • Finite impulse response filter. A category of digital filters. As compared to the other category, IIR filters, FIR filters are generally more expensive to implement, but offer several attractive design characteristics.

  • A Finite Impulse Response Digital Filter, usually consisting only of Zeros (no Poles), and generally implemented by a fixed point DSP processor to produce at low cost, Equiripple digital filters.

  • A finite impulse response (FIR) filter is a type of a discrete-time filter. The impulse response, the filter's response to a Kronecker delta input, is finite because it settles to zero in a finite number of sample intervals.

Computer-Assisted Simulation of Dynamic Systems with Block Diagram Languages

Computer-Assisted Simulation of Dynamic Systems with Block Diagram Languages

Computer-Assisted Simulation of Dynamic Systems with Block Diagram Languages explores the diverse applications of these indispensable simulation tools. The first book of its kind, it bridges the gap between block diagram languages and traditional simulation practice by linking the art of analog/hybrid computation with modern pc-based technology. Direct analogies are explored as a means of promoting interdisciplinary problem solving. The reader progresses step-by-step through the creative modeling and simulation of dynamic systems from disciplines as diverse from each other as biology, electronics, physics, and mathematics. The book guides the reader to the dynamic simulation of chaos, conformal mapping, VTOL aircraft, and other highly specialized topics. Alternate methods of simulating a single device to emphasize the dynamic rather than schematic features of a system are provided. Nearly-forgotten computational techniques like that of integrating with respect to a variable other than time are revived and applied to simulation and signal processing. Actual working models are found throughout this eminently readable book, along with a complete international bibliography for individuals researching subjects in dynamic systems. This is an excellent primary text for undergraduate and graduate courses in computer simulation or an adjunct text for a dynamic systems course. It is also recommended as a professional reference book.

Holy Bible Study Guide & Lesson: Sentence Block Diagram to 2 Peter (Bible Study Guide & Lessons)

Learn how to study the Bible by using the analytical approach of using sentence block diagramming method.

This Bible study method will give you deep understanding of the major themes of each book of the Bible.

You can use the final sentence block diagram as a Bible study guide to help you prepare sermons, Bible lectures, Bible seminars, Bible study groups for adults, Bible study group for youths. You can also use this approach to teach Sunday School.

I learned this sentence diagramming approach to study the Bible in the seminary and I have been using this to prepare all my sermons and Bible studies. By doing sentence diagramming of each book, I am able to extract the major themes the author wants to tell us.

For each chapter of the book, I laid out the book in sentence diagramming form so that you can see the structure of the book clearly.

You will also see sub points very clearly and have no doubt what Peter wants to say in his epistle.

When you see the format of the sentence diagram, you will know that you can't do without it each time when you prepare a sermon or a Bible study. You see point forms clearly in this well laid out structure diagramming.

Doing sentence diagramming will give you great insights to preach your sermons. All the points can be seen very clearly when you do sentence diagramming.

The Book of 2 Peter here can give you about 10 sermons to preach with insights & great themes.

May the Word of God enlighten our souls and strengthen us and those around us with God's eternal light.

hydraulic filter assembly - The 2009-2014

The 2009-2014 World Outlook for Non-Aerospace-Type Medium-Pressure Hydraulic Fluid Filter Assemblies for Fluid Power Transfer Systems with 301 to 2,999 P.s.i.

The 2009-2014 World Outlook for Non-Aerospace-Type Medium-Pressure Hydraulic Fluid Filter Assemblies for Fluid Power Transfer Systems with 301 to 2,999 P.s.i.

This econometric study covers the world outlook for non-aerospace-type medium-pressure hydraulic fluid filter assemblies for fluid power transfer systems with 301 to 2,999 p.s.i. across more than 200 countries. For each year reported, estimates are given for the latent demand, or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.), for the country in question (in millions of U.S. dollars), the percent share the country is of the region and of the globe. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a country vis-a-vis others. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each country and across countries, latent demand estimates are created. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved. This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the 230 countries of the world). This study gives, however, my estimates for the worldwide latent demand, or the P.I.E., for non-aerospace-type medium-pressure hydraulic fluid filter assemblies for fluid power transfer systems with 301 to 2,999 p.s.i.. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided across the world's regional and national markets. For each country, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over time (positive or negative growth). In order to make these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on international strategic planning at graduate schools of business.

Renault 4CV (1947-61) Engine 747cc S4 OHV Production 1,105,543
Rear engined with rack and pinion steering, hydraulic brakes and all independant suspension. Three speed gearbox. The 4CV did well in Rally and Racing when new.
This car was prepared for the Paris-Peking run of 2010 and driven by Andy Drinkwater with navigator Diana Cooper. The course is 8923 miles with poor terrain and mountain ascents, with both extremes of temperature. The car is standard form does not have an oil filter but an oil filter assembly was constructed with oil feed from the sump by way of home made pipe work to a power steering pump, the oil then routed through the timing gear cover and timing gear. The fuel pump was replaced by an SU carburettor which had to wrapped in a plastic back to eliminate excessive dust. The ignition was upgraded to electronic. The electrics were upgraded to 12 volt, the drivers seat was replaced and numerous gauges installed. External mods include under body stone guard, beefed up bumpers and auxiliary luggage racks.
Apart from a broken nearside front axle causing a delay while a replacement was sourced and fitted, the car ran faultlessly to complete the run successfully .

Air filter and hose removed for more workspace.

The valves are making noise on this truck. In the past you would clearly need a valve clearance adjustment. However, this engine is equiped with hydraulic valve lifters which require no adjustment and zero clearance. Somehow there is noise coming from the rocker cover assembly and something needs to be fixed in here. I did the easiest part: removing the cover, but finding out where to proceed from here will be a little tricky.

The 2011 Report on Non-Aerospace-Type Medium-Pressure Hydraulic Fluid Filter Assemblies for Fluid Power Transfer Systems with 301 to 2,999 P.s.i.: World Market Segmentation by City

This report was created for global strategic planners who cannot be content with traditional methods of segmenting world markets. With the advent of a "borderless world", cities become a more important criteria in prioritizing markets, as opposed to regions, continents, or countries. This report covers the top 2000 cities in over 200 countries. It does so by reporting the estimated market size (in terms of latent demand) for each major city of the world. It then ranks these cities and reports them in terms of their size as a percent of the country where they are located, their geographic region (e.g. Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America, Latin America), and the total world market.

In performing various economic analyses for its clients, I have been occasionally asked to investigate the market potential for various products and services across cities. The purpose of the studies is to understand the density of demand within a country and the extent to which a city might be used as a point of distribution within its region. From an economic perspective, however, a city does not represent a population within rigid geographical boundaries. To an economist or strategic planner, a city represents an area of dominant influence over markets in adjacent areas. This influence varies from one industry to another, but also from one period of time to another.

In what follows, I summarize the economic potential for the world's major cities for "non-aerospace-type medium-pressure hydraulic fluid filter assemblies for fluid power transfer systems with 301 to 2,999 p.s.i." for the year 2011. The goal of this report is to report my findings on the real economic potential, or what an economist calls the latent demand, represented by a city when defined as an area of dominant influence. The reader needs to realize that latent demand may or may not represent real sales.

hastings oil filter review - The Battle

The Battle of Hastings: The Fall of Anglo-Saxon England

The Battle of Hastings: The Fall of Anglo-Saxon England

1066 remains the most famous date in English history. Harriet Harvey Wood’s original and fascinating book tells a story that few of us know. She shows that, rather than bringing culture and enlightenment to England, the Normans’ aggressive and illegal invasion destroyed a long-established and highly developed civilization, far ahead of other European societies in the sophistication of its political institutions, art and literature. Harvey Wood explores the background and lead-up to the invasion and the motives of the leading players, the state of warfare in England and Normandy in 1066, and the battle itself. Judged before the event, King Harold ought to have won the Battle of Hastings without difficulty and to have enjoyed a peaceful and enlightened reign. That he did not was largely a matter of sheer bad luck. This gripping and entertaining book shows how he came to be defeated, and what England lost as a result of his defeat and death.

Cat Island: The History of a Mississippi Gulf Coast Barrier Island

Just off the coast of the Gulf Islands National Seashore lies Cat Island, an isolated, T-shaped sliver of sand with a remarkable past. A coveted hiding place for Jean Lafitte's pirate treasure in the late eighteenth century and illegal booze during Prohibition, Cat Island also witnessed the first shots of the Battle of New Orleans, an encampment for Seminoles during the Trail of Tears and the first lighthouses on the Mississippi coast.

As a child, author John Cuevas learned that his family had owned and lived on the island for three generations beginning with his ancestor, Juan de Cuevas, or "The King of Cat Island," who received it by way of a Spanish land grant. In this engaging work, Cuevas chronicles the historic events that occurred on the island's shores and offers a tribute to the legacy of one of the Gulf Coast's pioneer families.

Shot wide open, M8 with Voigtlander 35mm f/1.4 MC lens.
--
So, I returned the Panasonic GF1 when I saw that the same store was selling a used Leica M8 for a great deal. I bargained and got even a better deal, so, returned the GF1.

I've always enjoyed shooting with RF cameras, so, getting the M8 instead of settling on the GF1 was definitely a good move for me. While I love the GF1 for what it is (had a chance to use it for a week), but 2x crop factor always bothered me a bit when I shoot with prime lenses; The zoom lens that came with it covered enough focal lenght but wasn't quite fast enough although the quality was quite good for a stock lens.

Also, since I was shooting manually with m-mount prime lenses, I had to rely a lot on the EVF (electronic viewfinder) to get the right focus), but the finder was quite low-res that sometimes it was hard to tell whether I was getting a perfect focus. I also wished that the GF1 had a build-in image stabilizer. Especially with the 2x crop factor, it would have helped if I had some kind of image stabilization. I could see how shaky my hand-holding the camera was when I use the zoom-in to focus.

Well, M8 has a nice, bright range finder, allowing me to see the framelines for both te 35 and 50 lens. It does have 1.33x crop factor, but it's not significant even compared with my Canon T1i. Eventhough I've only shot with the M8 for one day, I like how it feels and the impressed with th image quality of it. One thing I don't like about the camera is the LCD screen. It's low-res. Typically, this wouldn't be a big issue but I if I were to take the camera to a store to test out (used) lenses, I would never be able to tell how sharp or in-focus the lenses are just by checking out the screen.

I have also seen the IR issue (making certain synthetic black fabrics appear purple). I will soon get IR filters for my lenses, but meanwhile, I can do with B&W images.

Life of Tecumseh: And of his Brother; The Prophet With A Historical Sketch Of The Shawanoe Indians (Timeless Classic Books)

Tecumseh (March 1768 to October 5, 1813), also known as Tecumtha or Tekamthi, was a Native American leader of the Shawnee and a large tribal confederacy that opposed the United States during Tecumseh's War and the War of 1812. He grew up in the Ohio country during the American Revolutionary War and the Northwest Indian War, where he was constantly exposed to warfare. The confederacy eventually moved farther into the northwest and settled Prophetstown, Indiana in 1808. Tecumseh confronted Indiana Governor William Henry Harrison to demand that land purchase treaties be rescinded. He warned his brother against fighting the Americans. His brother ignored him. While Tecumseh was traveling, Tenskwatawa was defeated in the 1811 Battle of Tippecanoe. During the War of 1812, Tecumseh's confederacy allied with the British in Canada and helped in the capture of Fort Detroit. The Americans, led by Harrison, launched a counter assault and invaded Canada. They killed Tecumseh in the Battle of the Thames, in which they were also victorious over the British. Tecumseh has subsequently become a legendary folk hero. He is remembered by many Canadians for his defense of the country.

Tecumseh and the Quest for Indian Leadership (Library of American Biography Series) (2nd Edition)

In this biography, David Edmunds examines the life of legendary Shawnee leader Tecumesh and his pivotal role in defending the Native American way of life.

Since his death as an avowed warrior at the Battle of the Thames in 1813, the details of Tecumseh’s life have passed into the realm of legend, myth and drama. In this new edition, David Edmunds considers the man who acted as a diplomat – a charismatic strategist who attempted to smooth cultural divisions between tribes and collectively oppose the seizure of their land.

The titles in the Library of American Biography Series make ideal supplements for American History Survey courses or other courses in American history where figures in history are explored. Paperback, brief, and inexpensive, each interpretive biography in this series focuses on a figure whose actions and ideas significantly influenced the course of American history and national life. In addition, each biography relates the life of its subject to the broader themes and developments of the times.

What is it? - so close and green

What is it? - so close and green

What is it? I don't have a zoom-out to go with this shot like the other MM macros for this week. I'll post wide shots tomorrow to reveal the secret identities of the rest of this weeks MM macros. Please come again to check it out. I'll be a nice surprise. So, what is it?

Homemade macro lens:
I made a "poor man's" DIY macro lens so I can get some really closeup macro shots for this weeks MM theme. I used an old 50mm manual prime lens (one without any zoom) I took off an old SLR film camera and a reverse lens attachment I made out of a UV filter (which screws onto the front of the lens), part of a toilet paper tube (which gives me a one inch extension), and some electrical tape to hold the tube to the filter.

Basically, any normal camera lens mounted backwards will magnify the image and act as a macro lens. The DIY trick is to be able to mount it to your camera. An old manual prime lens has a lot of advantages because they are very inexpensive and you can easily adjust the aperture opening and the focus of the lens. You want the aperture set to the widest opening possible and the focus set to infinity. To get the photo in focus you must move the camera back and forth. The clear focus (focal point?) seems to be about 2 inches from the lens.

My setup is still fairly clumsy since I'm using a small point and shoot camera and have to hand hold the reverse lens assembly against the camera. It is pretty hard to get the focus I want and hold the whole hand held contraption still while taking a picture. You get some really interesting results and nice surprises though.

I really should do something else to hold the macro assembly against the camera. Right now I'm just asking for a lens drop accident. The tube is wider than the P&S lens so it goes over it and lets the P&S lens move in and out. The tube lets me keep the macro assembly square to the camera and relatively steady while it is held over the P&S lens.

In the top I carry a small pair of fleece gloves, extra battery, Tripod foot, and film. In the front I carry up to four Cokin Filters, two or three screw on filters, pen, paper, Exposure cards. The main compartment can hold like 8 or so memory cards SD and CF.
