1954 KCP&L Small appliance repair service ticket
This old ticket was in with an old iron I bought at an auction. Apparently Kansas City Power & Light used to have a service department for small appliances. This person had both the left and right elements and a new power cord installed on her General Mills Iron. Parts and labor and $.06 tax came to $6.58 in 1954. I can't decide if that seems cheap or expensive.

This is yet another disaster. Yep, that's a dearth of appliances in there. The house has never been updated and the kitchen needs help. It is a shame because there is soooo much potential in there. However, we'll have to let this one go unless there is a serious drop in the price, enough to offset the cost of repairs needed.
