Our girls were born far too early, at 29 weeks gestational age in January 2006. Starting in 2007, we have participated in March for Babies every year to raise money for the March of Dimes. I think it's a good bet that without the work done with March of Dimes money over the years, we would not be the family we are today, so the cause is very dear to my heart.

Today was the Family Team kickoff lunch for our local chapter, and there was a nice turnout. The kids got to decorate hearts that will be hung on the family team tent at our walk site the day of the walk. It's a fun way to slowly educate them about their own past and the importance of supporting a cause you believe in.

Even after many reforms and schemes for children the scenario remains unchanged at the village level. Here is this little girl carrying cow's dung for making the dung cakes, so her family can have the fuel for preparing food. Just after returning to her home from the the flag hoisting ceremony of her school on this Republic Day she is compelled to do the hard work at the age of playing with her friends.
I found this girl on the way when I was coming back to my home after hoisting the flag at my office for the first time. Clicked her from inside my car, from the driving seat.
