Repeating a simple route over and over, making it smoother and smoother, until a sort of transcendental kinesthetic awareness swept over me – an almost mystical experience – illuminated a hidden but wonderful part of the spirit of bouldering. Bouldering became a moving meditation, which was meaningful for me.
