Electric Generators a Common Sight A local person told me that power in Xichang goes out maybe three times a month for an hour or so. Some of the counties in Liangshan have much more serious electric power problems. I saw many portable electric power generators stacked in shops. Every so often a generator would be seen outside a shop. I saw one set up next to a group of refrigerators. Not to exaggerate, I?saw one every second street, much more than in Chengdu but not a tremendous amount.
