ADAMS BIKE TRAILERS

i will be called a tart, a wannabe, a fake [and all of these by the same fella] but i don't care because i have red wheels and blue tyres!

these wheels have been coming from the u.s. for 5 weeks. it turns out they were delivered 4 weeks ago but as we were't in, the parcel force bloke took them to the depot. standard practice... what he didn't do is leave me a card to say he had been.

for those of you that are interested, this is an on-one il pompino (something rude in italian). it is fitted with velocity deep-v rims on formula hubs with vittoria rubino pro tyres. the bars are itm somethingorothers that have been turned upside down and cut off. the black thing on the cross bar is a pad that was made by r.e.load in the states. it allows me to lean my bike against the world without it getting all sctratched up. the chainset is a truvativ gxp external bearing jobbie and the back cog is made by phil wood and has 17 teeth. it was the inspiration for the tattoo i have on my arm (see a previous blip). the chain is gold - although i think it may be plated rather than solid. the saddle is a fantastic brooks swift made from leather and titanium. that thing towards the back is a surly tugnut. it sets the chain tension and opens beer bottles. the pedals are egg beaters and therefore crap. there isn't a brake on the back because if my legs stop moving, the back wheel stops going around.
i like this picture because it looks like a dragster bike with massive rear wheel and tiny front.

The first day of my very short PAD project. During a nationwide competition between companies and institutions in Iceland on who can bicycle or walk most often to work, I've started a project to improve my photograhy. Hopefully at least.

The rules are simple. I have to shoot one photo a day. I can only shoot once on my way to work and back. I am not allowed to crop or spot edit my photos. I must decide beforehand what is supposed to be within the frame and think about composition. I have to ride at least 20 km a day.

Well, it rained fairly hard on my way home today so I decided that the theme should be water. I rode my bike to the shore et voila.

Mind notes for tomorrow: Watch the horizon better. It is tilted. Clean the lens before shooting. This drop of water is very annoying. Give the main object (the bike) som more space. Take a better photo...
