Your Body is A Wonderland: John Mayer, No Such Thing

There’s not much that I don’t like about this song. From the simplicity and the wonderful sounds coming from the Stratocaster, to the absolutely beautiful and visually descriptive words John used- this is just a thing of beauty. There’s not any need to discover what the song is really talking about for it’s so in your face: an afternoon delight between two lovers.

Truth be told I am ashamed to admit that I do not own this album, only a couple tracks from this album. I think that is something that I really need to change, but I have such a fond memory of putting this song on a mix CD, and listening to it as I drove on a long road trip to Colorado. I can still see the image of the Colorado Rockies as I drove into Denver- this song playing in the back ground…

Artistically, this song really showed me how there can be such a thing as the “perfect words” to make a “perfect description”. There’s nothing ghetto or raunchy about this song- but lyrically it’s sexy, warm and romantic.

Pipilotti Rist: Pour Your Body Out

Pipilotti Rist's lush multimedia installations playfully and provocatively merge fantasy and reality. MoMA commissioned the Swiss artist to create a monumental site-specific installation that immerses the Museum's Marron Atrium in twenty-five-foot-high moving images. Visitors will be able to experience the work while walking through the space or sitting upon a sculptural seating island designed by the artist.
