Bilge pumps rule. Water jet pump. Cav injection pump parts.
Bilge Pumps Rule
- (bilge pump) a pump to remove bilgewater
- (Bilge pump) electric pump that pumps out water from a boat. Usually connected to a float switch that makes it turn on automatically if too much water enters a boat compartment.

- A code of practice and discipline for a religious order or community
- a principle or condition that customarily governs behavior; "it was his rule to take a walk before breakfast"; "short haircuts were the regulation"

Kayak bait tank drain holes
Vittle Vault bait tank, the drain holes are just the right size for this particular bait tank set up. I'm running a Rule 360 bilge pump with a 6v 7ah battery, it's perfect battery and just the right amount of water flows to keep the bait alive. I tried running a 12v battery but the water flows were way to high for the bait, eventually killing the bait prematurely.

TOWER BRIDGE HDR
Tower Bridge (built 1886-1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, England, over the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, from which it takes its name.[1] It has become an iconic symbol of London.
The bridge consists of two towers tied together at the upper level by means of two horizontal walkways, designed to withstand the horizontal forces exerted by the suspended sections of the bridge on the landward sides of the towers. The vertical component of the forces in the suspended sections and the vertical reactions of the two walkways are carried by the two robust towers. The bascule pivots and operating machinery are housed in the base of each tower. The bridge's present colour scheme dates from 1977, when it was painted red, white and blue for the Queen Elizabeth II's silver jubilee. Originally it was painted a chocolate brown colour.[2]
Tower Bridge is sometimes mistakenly referred to as London Bridge,[3] which is the next bridge upstream.
The nearest London Underground station is Tower Hill on the Circle and District lines, and the nearest Docklands Light Railway station is Tower Gateway.[4]
History
[edit] Background
Elevation, with dimensions
In the second half of the 19th century, increased commercial development in the East End of London led to a requirement for a new river crossing downstream of London Bridge. A traditional fixed bridge could not be built because it would cut off access by tall-masted ships to the port facilities in the Pool of London, between London Bridge and the Tower of London.
A Special Bridge or Subway Committee was formed in 1876, chaired by Sir Albert Joseph Altman, to find a solution to the river crossing problem. It opened the design of the crossing to public competition. Over 50 designs were submitted, including one from civil engineer Sir Joseph Bazalgette. The evaluation of the designs was surrounded by controversy, and it was not until 1884 that a design submitted by Sir Horace Jones, the City Architect (who was also one of the judges),[5] was approved.
Jones' engineer, Sir John Wolfe Barry, devised the idea of a bascule bridge with two towers built on piers. The central span was split into two equal bascules or leaves, which could be raised to allow river traffic to pass. The two side-spans were suspension bridges, with the suspension rods anchored both at the abutments and through rods contained within the bridge's upper walkways.
[edit] Construction
Tower Bridge under construction, 1892
Construction started in 1886 and took eight years with five major contractors – Sir John Jackson (foundations), Baron Armstrong (hydraulics), William Webster, Sir H.H. Bartlett, and Sir William Arrol & Co.[6] – and employed 432 construction workers. E W Crutwell was the resident engineer for the construction.[7]
Two massive piers, containing over 70,000 tons of concrete,[5] were sunk into the riverbed to support the construction. Over 11,000 tons of steel provided the framework for the towers and walkways.[5] This was then clad in Cornish granite and Portland stone, both to protect the underlying steelwork and to give the bridge a pleasing appearance.
Jones died in 1887 and George D. Stevenson took over the project.[5] Stevenson replaced Jones's original brick façade with the more ornate Victorian Gothic style, which makes the bridge a distinctive landmark, and was intended to harmonise the bridge with the nearby Tower of London.[7] The total cost of construction was Ł1,184,000[7] (Ł100 million as of 2012).[8]
[edit] Opening
The bridge was officially opened on 30 June 1894 by The Prince of Wales (the future King Edward VII), and his wife, The Princess of Wales (Alexandra of Denmark).[9]
The bridge connected Iron Gate, on the north bank of the river, with Horselydown Lane, on the south – now known as Tower Bridge Approach and Tower Bridge Road, respectively.[7] Until the bridge was opened, the Tower Subway – 400 m to the west – was the shortest way to cross the river from Tower Hill to Tooley Street in Southwark. Opened in 1870, Tower Subway was the world's first underground ('tube') railway, but closed after just three months and was re-opened as a pedestrian foot tunnel. Once Tower Bridge was open, the majority of foot traffic transferred to using the bridge, there being no toll to pay to use it. Having lost most of its income, the tunnel was closed in 1898.[10]
Tower Bridge is one of five London bridges now owned and maintained by the Bridge House Estates, a charitable trust overseen by the City of London Corporation. It is the only one of the Trust's bridges not to connect the City of London to the Southwark bank, the northern landfall being in Tower Hamlets.

1920 Service/Howe
A pair of Indiana manufacturers teamed up to produce this 1920's vintage pumper. Service Motor Trucks were built in Wabash (The "Service" name can be seen written in script underneath the seat) while Howe Fire Apparatus operated a factory in Anderson. This machine was fairly simple with a mid-mounted rotary pump with a capacity of 250 to 500 gallons-per-minute. A copper booster tank with reel and an apparatus bell are between the pump and hose body. The 20-foot length of hard sucction hose wrapped around the front of the chassis was typical of the majority of Howe rigs constructed before WWII.

250 - Scene of My Living Nightmare
Most terrifying experience ever tonight.
Stopped at Applebee's for kids night where the kids got a coupon for the bounce house in their parking lot. Kids jumped three hops back in before the entire house collapsed in a heap of thick, heavy vinyl with them inside. They were terrified and screaming while I was holding up one small corner for an air pocket as I hollered for them to put their faces toward my voice. Continued screaming until someone listened to me and brought me a knife. Cut a hole and ripped open and had waiters help me pull them out. THANK GOD!
Looks like it was a frayed extension cord, no air was being pumped into the bounce house. We got home after paramedic checks, police reports and evidence tech photos. We had a "We're brave" ice cream party and I am counting my blessings!
Party Animals Entry
These were a days worth of tablescrap figures that seemed to create a well balanced party (of sorts). I may enter something else to replace this; we'll see. I plan on at least entering the one man army catergory as well. Detail shots behind this in the photostream, as my camera doens't allow nice shots of this wide an image.

"Massive Twin Engines inside the Pump-Station House"
"The first engine was built in 1873 by the Boston Machine Company, and put in Operation January 5th, 2874, the first water being supplied to the city on January 8th. The engine is a double horizontal condensing engine, similar to the engines at Boston Highlands, which were built by the same company, and consists of two pumps 16 inches in diameter, and two stem cylinders 28 inches in diameter, both cylinders and pumps having a stroke of 42 inches and working from one crank-shaft with one fly-wheel, 15 feet in diameter, and weighing 15 tons. The engine possesses advantage--which on several occasions, while the community was dependent on its unassisted efforts, has proved very useful and essential--the fact that its two parts are symmetrical, and although designed to work together, capable of being run separately, and one half stopped if it is necessary to make any repairs or to adjust or replace the valves.
This engine pumps directly into a 24-inch force-main, extending from the engine-house to the center of the city at the corner of Main and Bedford streets, a distance of a mile and three quarters, and this force-main supplies low-service--that is, all those portions of the city which can be satisfactorily supplied with an adequate pressure from a reservoir, which is intended to be constructed at some future time on the hill near the pumping station, where the elevation of the highest point is 256 feet above tide-water."

GPI FUEL PUMP - GPI FUEL
Gpi Fuel Pump - How To Make A Venturi Vacuum Pump
Gpi Fuel Pump
- A fuel pump is a frequently (but not always) essential component on a car or other internal combustion engined device.
- A high volume and pressure of fuel is required to run an EFI system. EFI fuel pumps are sized in liters (LPH) or gallons (GPH) and are capable of producing 60-90 pounds of pressure in the fuel line. A typical automotive fuel pump for a carburetor produces 5-7 pounds of pressure.
- The fuel pump moves gas from the gas tank and delivers it to the fuel injection system or carburetor.

Dont You Know Pump It Up
- In linguistics, a discourse particle is a lexeme or particle which has no direct semantic meaning in the context of a sentence, having rather a pragmatic function: it serves to indicate the speaker's attitude, or to structure their relationship to other participants in a conversation.
- Expression used to imply meaning, rather than say it, such as when a person is embarrassed to say a word; Expression signifying a pause or hesitation
- "Pump It" is a song by the Black Eyed Peas that heavily incorporates music from the Dick Dale version of the song "Misirlou" (known by many for being featured in the Quentin Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction).
- "Don't!" is a song by Canadian singer Shania Twain. It was the second single released from her 2004 Greatest Hits album (not to be confused with the Billy Currington song of the same title). The song was written by Twain and then-husband Mutt Lange. "Don't!
- DONT is a conventional overcall against an opposing 1NT opening bid. DONT, an acronym for Disturb Opponents' NoTrump, was designed by Marty A. Bergen, and is therefore also referred to as 'Bergen over Notrump'.
- [from Latin dens, dentis tooth; tooth-like thing] Teeth (brachydont).
disease
There is a very contagious disease. It spreads like wild fire jumping from one person to the next, licking up our fragile emotions like sweet cream to a contented cat.
It gathers steam as it prays on one being after the next, shape shifting, morphing. Seizing its claws right down to our very souls.
Causing us to judge others with a look of discontent. People lock their doors to it but its already in their houses by then. They build a fence around their house to protect themselves from it, they don’t travel to another country to stay away from it, but meanwhile its doubling within them with each effort. It has taken over their lives as they know it.
Once we have it, we let it make all of our decisions in life. It makes the world that we live in Hell on earth. . It can alienate us from the joy that is our birthright.
Harbingers of the disease get together in groups and forums and let it fester into hate and anger. Their clics judge others without the disease or worse think of way to spread it via the media and terrorists who become one and same. Messengers. Carriers. Pumping it into our water, the airstreams, our food, everywhere you turn its there showing its four lettered face.
Some people have it and don’t know it. They complain a lot but haven’t been diagnosed. Moan and groan about how bad things happen to them, a black cloud floats over their head. Lightning perched to strike. They are the ones that build up possessions to barricade themselves so they don’t have to see the sickness, repressing it down with material goods, comparing themselves to their neighbors, secretly wishing them evil. Or stalking others to slough off some of the always aching demands of the illness off, but of course, it only doubles especially if the victim is immune.
To Fear.
F-E-A-R is the source of all of the negative agreements we've made with life. It is the disease.
The antidote: also a four letter word to cancel it out perfectly: L-O-V-E
When we are able to look at our lives without fear or judgments, we realize that reality can be whatever we want it to be. Shedding fear and becoming spiritually and emotionally alive via powerful love to all people, animals, plants, the world is the answer. Open your heart fully it releases our limitations; think with your heart not your head, always tell the truth to yourself first and to others; don’t take other people’s words personally when they say mean, harsh, judgmental things—it is the disease talking. Find that will and commitment deep inside of you to move beyond fear.
Desperately Wanting.....
"Desperately Wanting"
Past the road to your house
That you never called home
Where they turned out your lights
Though they say you'll never know
I remember running through the wet grass
And failing a step behind
Both of us never tiring
Desperately wanting
When they pumped out your guts
And filled you full of those pills
You were never quite right
Deserving all the chills
They say the worst is over
Kicked it over and ran
Then they ask what went wrong
When they turn you on again
They turn you on again.
[Chorus:]
Kick them right in the face
Make them wish they weren't born
And if they bring up your name
Well they'll say you won the war.
Baby burst in the world
Never given a chance
Then they ask what went wrong
When you never had it right
Oh the letters have dropped off
Though they say you got them all
I finally figured out some things you'll never know.
Take back your life and let me inside
We'll find the door if you care to anymore.
I remember running through the wet grass
and falling a step behind
Both of us never tiring
Desperately Wanting.

1939 Raleigh Record Ace (RRA) time trial configuration
Raleigh Record Ace (RRA) 1939
model no. 45 serial no. AF55635
Purchased from Paul Raley in December 2011 and back on the road 7 January 2012. In time trial configuration as above, 28 January 2012
The Raleigh Record Ace (1933-1942)
"for the real road enthusiast there is but one mount-- the Raleigh Record Ace.."
Raleigh’s top lightweight racing/time trial machine with three distinct variants over a 25-year span, the first generation Record Ace was announced in November 1933 (in time for that year’s Olympia Cycle Show) for the 1934 model year. It replaced the Record (introduced in 1930), as “a company-built speed bicycle on thoroughbred lines, [which] leaves very little to be desired.” (Cycling, 10 November 1933).
"It’s Design That Matters…. In Cycling
And only quality can interpret it to perfection. It all goes back to design and quality-building—that extra speed and stamina of a track car! It’s the same with cycles, in a hundred refinements of design, devised by experts with road and track experience, the Raleigh Record Ace stands high amongst those who understand a fine machine. Still more important—the exclusive Raleigh design is interpreted only with the very finest materials. That’s why when your feet touch the pedals of the Raleigh Record Ace you recognize, on the instant, a machine that gives you more speed, more pleasure and more riding ease."
Best known for its roadster and leisure cycles, Raleigh’s long history includes intermittent but intense involvement in cycle road sport, recordbreaking and racing. Twenty-one years after the Land’s End-John O’Groats record had been won on a Raleigh, the Heron was thrust back into competition and public attention when, in August 1929, Jack Rossiter set off from Land's End and covered the 866 miles to John O'Groats in 61 hours, 27 minutes, cutting nearly 7 hours off the record. He rode a Raleigh "Club" with a Sturmey-Archer “K” wide ratio hub gear and spurred Raleigh/Sturmey-Archer on a remarkable decade of sponsoring cycle road records as well developing a new range of racing/club cycles and racing hub gears.
Capitalising on the publicity of Rossiter’s record, Raleigh introduced two new club/racing machines, the Record and the Club (a replica of the Rossiter record bike with Sturmey-Archer three-speed “K” hub), in time for the 1930 model year. The new Raleigh club machines coincided with advances in cycle tubing and the following year the Record featured the new, lighter molybdenum tubing and radially-laced front wheel to which was added in 1933 specially designed Heron motif detachable chainset and racing pedals.
In many aspects, the new RRA was an improved Record but incorporating the new HM Tubing (a forerunner to Reynolds 531) and having many of the same components. In keeping with Raleigh’s mid-range market and to keep the price below 10 pounds, the Ł9 10s (compared to the Ł8 12 s 6d Record) the frame featured a main triangle of 22g chrome-molydenum tubing while the rear triangle and fork were of 18-21g HM (high-manganese) tubing. The front fork had all-round section blades. The Record's 67/67Ú parallel seat and head tube angles were kept but were a bit too old-fashioned even then and changed to a more responsive 71/71Ú in 1936. Frame sizes were 20-inch, 21-inch and 22-inch with a 41.5-inch wheelbase.
The stock wheelset comprised steel 26 x 1 Ľ-inch Dunlop Endrick black-enamelled 32/40-hole rims and black double-butted spokes with a radially-laced front wheel and quick release hubs with distinctive “R” shaped wingnuts and two sided fixed 16t/18t cog rear hub fixed/free rear hub. A freewheel and rear brake could be fitted at extra cost. Carried over from the Record model were the distinctive chainset (but initally with unfluted cranks) with three little Heron’s heads on the detachable chainring (46T stock, 44, 48 and 50T optional) and attractive Heron’s Head steel quill racing pedals.
A single front Raleigh sidepull caliper brake was fitted and the saddle was the new BrooksB-17 Dural Ultralight model weighing 7 oz less than the B-17. Marsh bend chromed (black celluloid covering optional) 15-inch handlebars with Constrictor Shockstop grips were fitted to a three-inch extension in a double locking headclip. A 15-inch Bluemels Featherlight celluloid frame pump and Raleigh’s wider pattern Bluemels Noweight black celluloid mudguards with separate spearpoint extension and special pattern quick release wingnuts and large Brooks saddlebag completed the specification.
Handsomely finished in Raleigh’s unmatched dipped lustrous black enamel with subtle “RRA” gold seat tube transfers, the Record Ace blended well into the stealthy character of road racing and time trialling in Britain at the time when all-black kit was de rigeur for roadmen and machine alike.
Although the frame was stock, from the onset Raleigh offered a range of alternate components to “suit the speedman”. The frame design could accommodate both 26&

trash house chronicles
Here I chronicle the TRASH HOUSE, a veritable junkyard of a home in my neighborhood. As you can see, it builds up, and then about once a year, the city comes and cleans it out. Then it repeats. The woman who lives there collects this trash from other people's trash bins and is very selective about what she takes. I am fascinated.
