The moment we begin

The moment we begin to fear the opinions of others and hesitate to tell the truth that is in us, and from motives of policy are silent when we should speak, the divine floods of light and life no longer flow into our souls.
It really doesn't matter if the person who hurt you deserves to be forgiven. Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself. You have things to do and you want to move on.
For most men life is a search for the proper manila envelope in which to get themselves filed.
I love my past. I love my present. I'm not ashamed of what I've had, and I'm not sad because I have it no longer.
Peace is when time doesn't matter as it passes by.
My friends are my estate.
I ran the wrong kind of business, but I did it with integrity.
It is not enough to do good; one must do it the right way.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
