The bane of every offshore worker is the health and safety rep. That we had to watch a video on how to travel on a coach upon our arrival came as a shock, but then we hadn't seen Kazakh drivers.
Never go out on deck without two dozen pieces of safety equipment, and if you think you can get away with it at three Am, then there is always the CCTV cameras to record your crimes against health and safety.
This was taken about four in the morning, four hours into the shift as we waited for the latest weather forecast and glorious sunrise. Mike, the cheerful Aussie so-and-so would stampede into the lab like an errant elephant waking us all up.
