Shocking Finds
[1:14] Katherine Vanmoer stepped through the door to the Milk Bar and closed it behind her. Glad to be out of the cold, Kat unzipped the jacket and shook the chill off her arms. Standing at the bottom of the steps, she takes a look around the bar she had only once been inside of. Hearing the bag drop and Triana's scream, Katherine ran to the woman's side, wondering what had her so upset. There, nailed to the floor was Alric, the man she ahd met one night in the Snake Pit. Her hands clasping over her mouth, she grabbed Triana's shoulders hoping the woman wouldn't faint. "Tri... Triana... Is that really...?" Katherine's thoughts were on the scene before her, imagination taking over some as she begins to worry horribly about Valo.
[1:17] Triana Mills feels the shock set in, followed quickly by anger toward the little creatures standing around him. Her eyes narrowed at the numerous bite marks all over his body. She didn't even feel the hands on her shoulders, nor remember the woman was still next to her. Letting out a hiss of anger, her fangs bared themselves to the room, her gaze reddening as she stared at the rats. An angry growl of a scream erupted from her throat. "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HIM!"
[1:21] Katherine Vanmoer felt Triana's whole body convulse a little, bringing her thoughts back to the man on the floor. Hearing the plea for the rats to disperse, Katherine ran quickly behind the bar and grabbed the fountain hose. Aiming the hose towards Alric from behind the bar, she pressed the seltzer button and let the carbonated water cover the floor and the rats. She had hoped that the sudden on set of water would work like the old adage. Anything was worth a try at this point.
[1:26] Triana Mills watches as the rats scatter, first from her scream, then faster as the water douses them. They dispersed back into their dark corners and cubby holes in the walls. Stalking forward, she stood near Alric for a moment, daring any of them to return to her sight. When none came, her expression changed to one of tremendous sorrow. She turned and knelt down in the water next to him, her eyes reddening further as crimson tears began to stain her cheeks. Her fangs remained visible, all control over her vampiric feelings completely lost. Reaching out, her fingers shakily pressed to his throat to check for a pulse.
[1:29] Katherine Vanmoer dropped the hose on the bar, and jumped back over it, kneeling on the other side of Alric, she went into life saving mode, teh CPR training she remembered from swim lessons at her local childhood pool. She placed her hands over Alric's sternum, ready to begin compressions, not really thinking anything of the strange red tears or fangs, but more so on counting to thirty.
[1:31] Alric Bravin's eyebrows twitch at Triana's cool touch. He wasn't dead - merely passed out from pain and blood loss. But it is Katherine who really waks him up - her chest compressions rousing intense pain from his broken ribs. He lets out a hoarse, raspy growl as he fights the pain, his eyes opening to narrow slits. He tries to focus his eyes on Triana, but they won't obey.
[1:33] Triana Mills reaches over in an attempt to grab Katherine's hands and push them rather forcefully away from him when she hears him growl and sees his eyes open. Her sorrowful expression becomes filled with concern as she looks down at him. "Alric...oh god...Alric..." Her hand moves to his cheek, the tears sliding to the floor beside him.
[1:35] Katherine Vanmoer stops after only two compressions, Triana pushing her away. Sitting back on her heels she watches him turn his head, looking towards Triana. Katherine fumbles in her pockets searching for her cell, "I'll call the paramedics, you'll be okay..." Kat continues to search frantically, finally finding teh phone and flipping it open fingers poised to dial.
[1:41] Alric Bravin looks up at Triana, his brows meeting as he stares up at her with eyes almost like a newborn - shakey and unfocused. "Li-Lilli," he croaks, a frown forming on his face as he realizes it's not Lilli. He's delirious, and dying. "Where?" The word rolls thickly off his tongue. Lilli had disappeared, and his eyes roll lazily in his sockets - searching for her. He finds her in the corner behind Katherine, that same smile on her face, beckoning him with the same graceful motion of her hands. He struggles weakly to lift his arms, a grimace of pain twisting his features into an agonizing and hideous mask.
[1:44] Triana Mills feels her lips tremble with a choked sob, a hand reaching up to cover her mouth. Her other hand raised from his face, hopefully stopping Katherine from dialing the paramedics as she places her hand over her's. "No. It's too late for that." Growling softly as he tries to move, she bites her lower lip, reaching down with both hands to rip the spike out of the hand closest to her. A forceful growl erupts from
Scene 9
Siduri eyed the lone vase of roses upon the desk, raising her hand for possibly the last time she hit Zedra on the temple, smiling cruelly as her fist made friends with Zedra's forehead before climbing to her feet and grabbing the vase. Whirling to face Zedra who was now struggling to stand, she smashed the cave on the desk until she simply held the jaggered end, leaving the red roses laying forgotten on the floor.
Siduri growled and advanced on Zedra.
"Oh wow Siduri. You have a glass? I'm sure that’s going to help this time."
Siduri swung the glass at Zedra’s face, pulling her hand back at the last moment and instead slashing at her knee. Zedra stumbled to the ground, her black dress stained with blood.
"Marcus!" she shouted. "Get her!"
The undead man turned away from Sikete and begun to lumber towards her. With a cry Sikete jumped onto the mans back, covering Marcus's eyes with his hands. Siduri almost giggled at the sight of it, but quickly turned her attention back to the bleeding Zedra.
She pushed down her failing arms and with grim determination slit Zedra's throat, allowing the crimson blood to gurgle from her mouth.
Marcus let out a mighty yell and shook Sikete from his back, charging right at Siduri, pushing her back into the bookcase and crushing her under his body.
"Get off her" came Sikete’s angry voice from behind the man that was squashing Siduri.
She tried to push him off but her hands were pinned underneath the mighty bulk of his body. Curling his hands into angry fists, Sikete rained blows down on the back of Marcus’s head though they seemed to have no affect.
“Siduri” he cried in desperation. “Siduri, what do I do?”
She opened her mouth to reply but all that came out was a strangled gasp as Marcus had firmly fixed his hands around her neck.
“I’m gonna do this nice and slow you blonde bitch” he growled.
“No! Get off her” shouted Sikete again, trying to wrench Marcus’s hands from his neck.
Without any apparent effort Marcus released Siduri with one hand and swung it at her husband, sending him crashing back next to the body of Zedra. He rolled over and yelped as he came face to face with her. Her eyes were open but dim, the animal anger gone from them. Her mouth to was open but now it hung limply instead of an angry scowl. The blood that had flooded out of the gash in her neck was still steady but had now been reduced to a far smaller floor. The responsible piece of glass was still laying discarded next to her body.
Hearing his wife’s strangled cries Sikete reached over and grasped the piece of broken vase, careful not to let any blood on the jaggered edges touch him. With his last ounce of effort Sikete pushed himself to his feet and brought the glass down across the back of Marcus’s neck in silent determination. Marcus cried out in pain, his hands releasing Siduri to clutch his injured neck. Still gasping for air, Siduri took advantage of his distraction and raising her hand, she aimed an upward palm strike towards his nose. She connected with a sickening crunch and the man howled in pain his hand now going for his smashed nose.
“Finish it.” Siduri urged to her husband.
He looked at her in surprise. “I .. I can’t Sid”
She paused for a moment, then nodded. “Give me the glass then” she ordered.
Siduri held out expectantly but instead of receiving the glass from her husband, she instead received a grab from Marcus. Gripping his nose in one hand and her wrist in the other he growled - “I’m not that easy to kill”
Releasing his nose he grabbed her shoulder and with a slam, pushed her back into the book case causing some of the books to topple onto her. She did not cry out, but instead went limp and almost gracefully folded onto the floor.
