Baby Green Cheeks: Climbing around in their new cage
The babies love this little toy. Their mommy Tweak likes to stand on it, just like them. Except they actually play with the little twirly mirror part, too. They are sitting on one of those loops that you can put on top of the cage. We put it on the inside and bent the ends so there isn't any slippage. They love to crawl all over it and go under it, too.
The 5 babies have been moved into their own cage now. It's filled with lots of things to climb, lots of toys, and flat areas which they love to sleep on. They have adjusted with the move very well. Daddy Gizmo has moved back in with Mommy Tweak and they come over and sit on top of the babies cage sometimes and the babies get all excited.
The babies are eating dry food and seeds for treats. They even take baths every other day.
Going… “ GREEN”
This shot is part of a 20+ unit windmill farm south of Naples NY built over the last two years. It’s kind of a good feeling driving a couple of miles and seeing all these windmills and thinking of all the pollution free energy they'll be cranking out over the years. I just wish the camera gave a better prospective of the size of these babies, they just don’t look as impressive as seeing them in person.
I almost forgot to tell you they’re due to go online the first of November!!

Sam's sign for Lent
The school is collecting money to support some families struggling to get on their feet. The kids in 1st grade made signs for the whole school. Sam's sign shows me taking care of babies at work. I'm not sure what the other people are. I haven't had a chance to hear the rest of the story. I haven't seen Riley's sign yet.

Adopted!
Once again, Mocha is adopted! I took her to her new home this morning an hour away in Grande Prairie. I feel very good about her new owner and I trust she will be happy there after she adjusts. It is a young family with a one year old baby. They have one other cat, a black beauty named Jack that was adopted from the shelter 7 years ago.
This picture is similar to the one I posted labelled "discouraged", but it IS a different picture though I shot both on the same day at around the same time.

Maya is 8 Months Old
Maya is 8 months old today! She's rapidly becoming a big girl and a toddler look is replacing her baby features. Lot's going on this past month. On gross motor skills, she finally mastered rolling and can really locomote to places and toys by flipping in succession. Yesterday she also sat up on her own at day care, but we have yet to see that at home. She's becoming stronger in her core and arms, and is lifting her torso upwards... in the next few weeks she'll probably start to crawl. On her playmat she rotates around to reach her toys in 360 degrees... her favorites are still her books and her colorful cups. She's also becoming a big squirmer on the changing pad so it is very difficult to change her while keeping her little feet out of dirty and stinky diapers!
She's communicating frequently by signing for "milk" (though we think she may confuse that with "mom"), and we're pretty sure she says "mamamama" when she wants me. She is opinionated and cries and screams with great drama when she doesn't get what she want... the tantrums are beginning (!), particularly around food that doesn't come fast enough, or her binky falling out at night. She's also making gutteral, growling noises, as well as shouts and squeals of delight (always when she sees bubbles at daycare). It's a heartwarming sight to see her look up from her play mat and give us a big smile when she sees us looking over at her. Oh, another thing she enjoyed was smelling my mint breath when I had a Riccola in my mouth-- funny sight to see her take a big inhale to get the smell, then laugh.
We're feeding her 3 solid meals a day, she loves apple. Unfortunately egg yolk and avocado seem to have caused bad reactions with her system, so we'll wait on those for a while. When she visited the doctor yesterday she ways 18 lbs 2 oz.

YES she is doing it herself! We have a battle over who's gonna feed baby....she wins alot! LOL

Mine:
a. I can take abouttt 3 hours reading one magazine, I read it in alot of depth haha.
b. I know what time the bus leaves, and even so i'm so lazy that I always leave my house a couple seconds before so that i have to run down. Always.
c. My days are spent running after buses, trains, electrics etc.
d. I was a tom-boy when i was young, my bestfriends were all guys until I was around 13
e. I'm very inconsistant with things, friends, grades, pictures- anything.
f. I've always had really bad grades, I don't think having a 4.0 Gpa makes you any better.
g. I have the best boyfriend in the world, oh yes I do.
i. I've travelled to alot of places: England, Switzerland, Boston, Africa, New York, Florida, Brazil, California, Finland, Denmark, Tailand, Russia, Spain, France, Italy, las Vegas, Sweden, Norway, Canada, Dominian Republic, Cuba, Teneriff, Ohio, Latvia, Mexico, Greece. That's pretty much it.
h. rain bothers me. I'd rather be very verry hot than slightly cold.
j. You and me baby aint nothing but mamals, so lets do it like they do on the discovery channel.
k. I can't do anything interesting with my body, like twist it in weird ass ways. I can't even twist my tongue haha.
l. I'm absolutely incredibly amazingly addicted to chocolate and cookies.
m. I can't cry very easily, it takes alot to make me cry, but usually shouting or making me guilty, frustrated does the trick.
n. when something entertains me, i watch it and re-watch and re-re-watch it five thousand times xD
o. I like to look at people on the street and imagine their life, sometimes i make it very dramatic in my head, and then i wish i could go ask them how it really is without souding creepy haha.

day 88/365 + Oso De Oro
There is a park, in Fresno, that has handicap access. There are swings for people who are in need of wheelchair access, and ramps and things to engage all of those children in need of a park that - isn't - like the others. A park that welcomes them.
Included in this park, are a maze and tunnel, which was made entirely with the enjoyment of visually impaired people in mind.
Fucking awesome, right?
Right.
For nearly 3 years, Gia and I have popped up at all kinds of parks and tried out hand at fun. Some days are quite a bit more successful than other days. Like with anything in this life, finding a fit is a welcome opportunity, but finding a fit when you really need that extra helping hand - is like christmas/easter/thanksgiving pie/valentine chocolates all rolled into one. I couldn't believe that there was this little treasure trove of play hiding in plain sight the whole time I was looking for every park, BUT, it.
...and then my child was pushed down the slide, meanly, by some brat with a forever-frowning mother encouraging him. Here she was, in the mecca of happiness and tactile love, and some little ass was ruining it.
A public park - a community park- for all kids to play on, but specifically made accessible to those with specific needs. I got it. I get It. I just thought it was fucked up that this absolutely able-bodied, wonderfully healthy little child was mowing down small happy-smiling-lovey-dovey kids with his impatience. And the kicker? When I smiled and said, "no no honey, we dont push others just because we want to go down the slide. We wait turns, and show kindness," I was greeted with a stern look from his mother, who rolled her eyes and encouraged her son to indeed come down the slide - AS my child was descending without her consent and still ON the slide.
I wanted to punch her in the small brain, and then slap her tiny insensitive heart.
Like a bus or BART, or train, or any other public space we must share..... it was open to any and everyone. But unlike those other public places, I noticed that a great many parents refused to extend the skill of a little common courtesy on to their children. The courtesy, that gets up for someone pregnant, elderly, or disabled, and lets them have the seat, because they might just need it more.
Gia moves well, and might appear to be just like all the other kids, which she is, only she cant see as well...or really...at all, but she was using her cane that day.
Insensitive, right?

at 5:30 we had a little surprise, my water broke and rushed off to the hospital. At 13.5 weeks early my son decided it was time for him to make his entrance!!! at 8:35pm by methods of c-section Jack Dayton was born into this world weighing in at 1# 13.9 oz with a length of 13 inches. He is in NICU for an undetermined amount of time but he is doing well, he has his moments that aren't great but it's to be expected. Most important he is pulling through the problems that come with being born so early. More updates to come, I am off to the hospital to see him, I just got home today, after 4 painful healing days myself, but I am doing better. Anyhow prayers are appreciated.
And that is why I've been MIA. I will try my best to stay up to date with all your streams but I am going to be back and forth from the hospital a lot and my life has turned upside down so I apologize I need you to bare with me a bit longer... Love you guys my Flickr friends

3 days old.... 2 pounds 2 ounces and 13 3/4 inches (at birth). This is my First outfilt, which is made of hats by my Nurse Amber. I was born 11 weeks premature when my Mommy was only 29 weeks pregnant. This was the last day that I was on the C-Pap machine.
Hunter lost down to 1 pound 13 ounces on the 8th day of life. He started gaining back up and now he is 19 months old and is 21 pounds and 30 inches long!
