Trestle Console Table
- A table supported by ornamented brackets, either movable or fixed against a wall
- a small table fixed to a wall or designed to stand against a wall
- (Console Tables) Tables made for fixing against a wall and having no legs at the back. They came into fashion early in the eighteenth century, and were made often in pairs.
- A table meant to be displayed against a wall. It may be attached to the wall with only two front legs or freestanding on four legs.
- A framework consisting of a horizontal beam supported by two pairs of sloping legs, used in pairs to support a flat surface such as a tabletop
- The Trestle of a Post mill is the arrangement of the Main post, crosstrees and quarterbars that form the substructure of this type of windmill. It may or may not be surrounded by a roundhouse. Post mills without a roundhouse are known as Open Trestle Post Mills.

Trestle #1
This trestle is on the old Enumclaw Branch just past Bagley Junction. The junction is west of Cedar Falls. This line was built by the Seattle Southeastern Railway Company but was sold to the Milwaukee in 1912. The trestle resides deep in the Cedar River Watershed which provides the majority of the water to Seattle. They do tours in the summer, but I was told that this old trestle over Taylor Creek will eventually be demolished.
James River Trestle - Lynchburg, VA
