Some comments that been commenting on the canonisation, Archbishop Kevin said:
'I am delighted that today Sunday June 3rd, Pope Benedict XVI has made the first Maltese saint through the canonisation of St. George Preca.
Today’s celebrations are a great joy for the Maltese people and I am particularly mindful of the Maltese communities in the diocese of Southwark where through the intercession of St. George Preca the second miraculous healing took place.
The canonisation is also a great joy for the Society of Christian Doctrine who this year are celebrating their centenary year. The Society of Christian Doctrine founded in 1907 by St. George Preca has a small community in Upper Norwood in the diocese of Southwark and I extend my congratulations and delight to them.'
The Maltese parents of a new-born baby, brought to Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill, in July 2001 with severe liver failure, prayed to Saint George Preca for a cure. Their son recovered without the need for a transplant and today is a healthy five-year-old. This cure was accepted as a miracle by the Congregation of the Causes of the Saints in 2004 following the witness of medical staff, including Anil Dhawan, Professor of Paediatric Hepatology at the hospital, who said that there was ‘no scientific explanation’ for the recovery. Professor Dhawan, a Hindu, attended the canonisation.

I promised myself that on Election Day, I was not going to worry myself about it after I had voted, so I have seen and heard minimal results so far and have been trying to enjoy my day.
I had to leave work early or I would have imploded from all the rediculous comments, so I took my baby out to buy a new chariot for our upcoming anniversary. When I got home and got ready to take my SP for today, I looked over and saw this stuffed curio cabinet full of Precious Moments figurines I used to buy for my baby when we were much younger and had very little taste, and I realized these simple (and way too expensive cheap glass) statues are something I want to never let go of no matter how tacky they may seem to us now that we are older.
So here is just a quick snap of a few of the items that were our collecting passion when we were younger.
Update - As I was writing this, apparently CNN broke the "news" that Mr. Barack Obama will be our next President Elect, and I can say congratulations AND.......
DUUUUUUUHHHHH!!!
