4X5 PHOTO FRAMES

First Off, I95 is probably the probably the worst road I have traveled on due to our luck with blown tires on that highway. The morning started off fine as I met up with Eric from The Firestarter Group and the rest of Nobel with plans to shoot them and Trinity Edralin at Potomac Mills mall by 2:00. After driving about 45 minutes north bound on I95, disaster struck and the van blew the back right tire. Luckily, Eric managed to guide the crippled van over to the right shoulder of I95.

We all got out and inspected the massacred tire and decided we would need a new tire. The van was already using the spare on the front, so we had to wait for a new tire to be brought to us. Eric managed to have his brother and a few friends stop on I95, pick up the ruined tire, take it to Walmart and get another one. While we were waiting on them, a VDOT worker stopped and gave us a few traffic cones and then left us to wait for the tire.

When we finally got the tire, the VDOT guy actually came by again and had a power tool that made it a lot less time consuming to put on the new tire. As we were about to get back on the road, the guy gave us a bunch of road flares, little did we know that we would need them.

We made it to Potomac Mills around 5:00, so we barely had any time to shoot. However, I did manage to squeeze a few shots in of Trinity. I should be going back up there in two weeks to finish the shoot and also do the shoot with Nobel. Hopefully we will be able to shoot in the mall after it closes and we won't blow another tire.

I've not had any photo shoots for the past two months, as I had been busy with the graduation requirements. I'd like to show you what I had just recently. I used to have the name (PICTURE) on my license plate here in West Virginia. I used my previous plate for about seven months, my friends made fun of me because they didn't like the word I picked. When I was checking my car's papers last time, I realized that I had to renew my license plate in last January. This means I was almost half a year late! Thanks Allah that I had no tickets so far. I guess when you have hard time in school, things outside school don't get as hard. When I went to the DMV, the employee told me to apply for new plate, I couldn't use my plate that had the (PICTURE) on it. Instantly I thought about Q8 PHOTO, because it makes more sense. As it can imply Kuwaiti photographer or Kuwait Photographer. To tell you some information about the culture of USA's Kuwaitis, many of them have (Q8) on their license plates in addition to other letters. It is very interesting to see how Kuwaitis love their country abroad. I know it is way too late to change the name, but I'll definitely take it back home when I come in August enshallah. I've been moving all stuff out of my house with my roommate. I'll have more news very soon for you.

Q8 = Kuwait. It is a small Arab country located in the north western part of the Persian Gulf.
There are nearly a few thousands of Kuwaitis in the USA coming for college education, medical treatment, or business. Kuwait's government was one of the first from the middle east to send their citizens to the west for seeking higher education.
