Bespoke Kenworth 8-wheeler and trailer
A neatly "tarped" load plus an agricultural machine for good measure (!) are thepayload of this Kenworth 8-wheeled wagon and drawbar trailer combination. The old "cab-over" type cab which fell out of favour in North America has been perpetuated and refined by Kenworth's (Paccar) Australian production plant. Such 8-wheelers with similar trailers are a popular New Zealand trucking solution to the maximum loadspace/axle weight regulations conundrum.

In 1960 my best friend's father owned a Mack truck diesel dealership in Stockton,CA. Ian and I both learned to drive in the '54 Ford shop pickup by driving around the storage yard behind the dealership. The summer of my senior year of highschool, I was employed at the truck shop painting wheels white for the agricultural trucks and trailers used locally. Thus began my long career spray painting things.
