Complements
DS586 Make a photograph of two complementary objects arranged to show their relationship to each other.
Orange and blue are complementary colors, which is to say they appear opposite each other on the color wheel. Red and green are complementary, as are purple and yellow. Although they don't appear on the color wheel, so are black and white.
Objects which are complementary are those which fall under Webster's definition as "the necessary and completing opposing item : one of two mutually completing parts."
Gotcha covered on three bases!
As always, I ask that you please refrain from posting graphics in your comments. Thanks!
Orange and Blue
Taken with my Nokia 6303, I was drawn to the juxtaposition of orange and blue, being as they are on opposite sides of the colour wheel.
I've only just discovered how to use the camera on the phone: it takes the shot when you release the shutter button, which is a little weird, but does mean that you can recompose after you've set the focus.
