8/29/08 (Year Two) ~ Day 4: Tides We went to the Tides game tonight - it was the second to last home game of the season. Since we went to Opening Night, it seemed fitting to make sure to get another game close to Closing Night (and we can't go tonight). I took a few self portraits, but my settings were all wrong and nothing I can do will salvage them - so you get the cliche holding a beer up in front of the game picture! There were fireworks after the game too! I took about 700 pictures of the firework show alone! Basically, I braced myself against a column, held the camera to my eye and just mashed down on the button and took continuous shots for the whole fireworks show. It looks like a video if you view them in a slide show quickly. I'm in the process of editing some and deciding which to upload (since I can't upload 700 fireworks pictures into my stream and they aren't all good). They didn't come out perfectly, but I think some are pretty okay . . . so stay tuned for some fireworks shots to show up! In the Air When I came home from the IceHogs game the other night I saw that the downtown was all lit up as I approached Harvard. As I got closer I knew that something big was going on. I found a place to park and walked over, staying clear of the equipment, and shot some photos while my battery held out. There were No injuries or worse reported. And I thought I was only going to shoot a hockey game... Oh, the Hogs lost 4-1.
