The main group of buildings in this picture is known as the Tokyo Midtown is a 569,000 square meter mixed-use development in Akasaka, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Completed in March 2007, the $3 billion project includes office, residential, commercial, hotel, and leisure space, as well as the tallest building in Tokyo and the new quarters of the Suntory Museum of Art.

Tokyo Midtown is also the home of Design Sight 21_21, a design gallery/workshop created by fashion designer Issey Miyake and architect Tadao Ando. "The idea was to create not only a museum that shows exhibits," says Ando, "but also a place for researching the potentiality of design as an element that enriches our daily life, a place that fosters the public's interest in design by arousing in them different sights and perspectives on how we can view the world and the objects surrounding us.The building, designed by Ando, is on the edge of the park area, and features 1,700 square meters of floor space, including two galleries and an attached cafe run by chef and restaurateur Takamasa Uetake. The split-level concrete structure includes a hand-sanded steel roof (whose design was inspired by Issey Miyake's A-POC ("A Piece of Cloth") concept) and 14-meter long glass panels.

No idea who is in the photo, but it was taken at what was the Twine building on Pigeon Beach where we used to make and repair the Trap nets in the off season, i see a pile of floats and net weights piled near the door I still remember them as a child I spent a lot of time in that building still remember the smell of the tar we put on the nets as they were made of cotton and the tar kept them from rotting.
That building still exists around 1970 we made it into 2 apartments, we put brick on the outside a new roof on it, replace the doors and windows we put sand on the floor then ran 10" oil pipe for heating ducts poured cement on top for a new floor, inside the walls were 4" cement block instead of wood studding. I would say one of the more solid buildings when it was done.
