The osprey chicks are growing and they are growing their pin feathers. So far, all three are doing well. Today was special for a couple of reasons, but the main reason was Pops. He brought a fish earlier, ate his part and brought it back to the nest. The older two chicks were being fed, and I think the wee chick (#3) did get a few bites of fish. Not a lot of fish, but it clearly was still hungry.

Some time passed and Pops went fishing again. He nibbled on the fish and brought to the nest. Where the older two chicks were being fed. The wee chick tried to get closer to the fish but couldn't. Then wee chick turned around and went to Pops. The wee guy opened his/her mouth as if to say- please feed me - I am hungry. Pops sat there for a while and took off. I was sort of bummed for wee chick and hoped that after a while Ma would feed the remainder of the fish to the little one.

Then out of the corner of my eye, Pops returned to the nest with another fish. I thought maybe he would leave it on the nest for Ma and chicks but he didn't. He started to feed the wee chick. Male Osprey as a rule don't feed chicks. So while the other two chicks were fed by Ma Osprey, Pops tore off tiny bits of fish for wee chick. :-) The little guy was getting his own fish. Way to go wee chick and Pops. … you're awesome.

The world's best popcorn, re-dsicovered when a friend brought it as a gift. In Switzerland we get popcorn, but not this quality.
