How To Ride A Bike Without Training Wheels
- Training wheels (also known as stabilisers in the UK) are an additional wheel or wheels mounted parallel to the rear wheel of a bicycle that assist learners until they have developed a usable sense of balance on the bicycle.

it IS just like riding a bike
sadie got this bike last year for her birthday and we never took the training wheels off because it was larger than her old bike that she had learned to ride without training wheels.
the other day she asked if we could take off the training wheels so she could "re-learn" to ride without them.
took her about 2 tries and she remembered how to do it. she's real excited. she even had to show scotty when he got home that night...at around midnight, they went outside (i think i had gone to bed by then).
How We Roll
The red one in front is mine, the next one is John's and the vintage Schwinn tandem was purchased because Sophie refused to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels. Thankfully she conquered that fear...
