World Vision has set up a non-formal school in a slum near and underpass in North Delhi. It provides the children who would not normally go to school with an accessible education that catches them up to their peers in other area of Delhi so that they can begin a formal education in a government school. Sonam (brown or purple scarf, female, 12 years old) attends the school. World Vision has also given her a sewing machine. She is gradually learning how to sew as a trade.
