Silver Lining?
It seems that people are WAY to quick to call the current recession over when there is never good news on the job front. Things have to be bad when the good news is that the "pace of job losses slows."
Economic Things I Don't Get:
If the recession is over, as some experts say, then why are more people still losing their jobs?
If the unemployment rate is still at record high levels and not showing signs of hitting bottom then how can the economy be getting better? Without jobs people can't buy anything, hence the real value of companies cannot be increasing which also means the rise in stock prices is based purely on speculation and not on real value. Meaning the current rise in the stock market is only temporary as it is over inflated.
How is government run health care going to happen when people don't have jobs? Where is the money going to come when we are operating in the worst recession in 25 years?
