Ed & Erv's Centrella Food Mart
Ed & Erv's on Touhy Avenue in Chicago. Ed & Erv's is run by Denny Mondl, and Denny shows that despite all the pressures from the large grocery stores, you can still survive if you're a smart business person and provide excellent food and service. Denny's brother Andy was my childhood best friend. I'd also note that Ed & Erv's was the only job I was ever fired from--turns out I am not very good at sweeping and cleaning, as my wife will also tell you!
Nikon Coolscan V ED
Best thing about the uni's library is those Nikon Coolscan negative scanner, but why the bloody hell it have to be connected to a Mac? most especially those old slow shitty one, I've never seen so many beachballing in my life when I try to scan at 4,000dpi (21 megapixels).
What an irony when the rest of the library has fast PCs and intel iMacs, expect for these two.
