Guangzhou's elderly population loves nothing more than playing Mahjong when the weather is nice. They line up their little playing tables on the street and have a silent battle of minds for hours on end.
This was taken near the Garden hotel - the building to the right has been scheduled for demolition to make way for a more modern edifice. The best PuErh tea shop I'd ever encountered was just next door to here, where I learned to respect the muddy brew.
