The Nature Conservancy Ranch - Hank - The Dog with Amazing Balance (2447 fix crop)
So this is Hank - the ranch's dog. He's a mutt - part grayhound, part wolf hound, and part border collie (from what they can tell). This dog had the most amazing balance I had ever seen for a dog riding in a car!
Hank rode in the back of this truck the entire way from the inn to the ranch - probably 7-10 miles, going ~65 mph on the local roads (that's the speed limit), not flinching a bit! This dog stood on the spare tire in the back, the toolbox, everything just to get the wind in his face!
We were following the truck and Aaron was nervous that - god forbid - if he slipped, we'd smoosh him. Needless to say, we kept our distance. Given how our dog is "normal" dog in terms of her ability to balance while riding in a car, we were stunned at Hank's prowess!
