The City of Manassas is an independent city surrounded by Prince William County and the independent city of Manassas Park in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Manassas also surrounds the 38 acre county seat for Prince William County but that county property is not part of the city.
The Manassas (Amtrak station) is located at 9431 West Street in Manassas, Virginia. It was originally built by the Southern Railroad in 1914 and today serves as the penultimate station along the Virginia Railway Express Manassas Line, as well as a stop on three Amtrak trains.
Manassas was an American rock band, formed by Stephen Stills in 1971. The nucleus of the band had already backed Stills on his July 1971 album, Stephen Stills 2, and in May 1972, the double album, Manassas, was released.
