Squadron Leader Cyril Kydd - Agadir 2010
Cyril Kydd, Squadron Leader ex-RAF, lived in Agadir for 18 years. Now in his 91st year, he tries to make at least one trip back a year from his home in Devon. Cyril is modest about his 'war', but among his many exploits he piloted the plane that made the parachute drop of the first inflateable sea rescue vessel (designed by Uffa Fox), on May 5th 1943. He also flew Tito around on his tour of Burma. A Liverpudlian by birth and early upbringing, he has the scouser's sharp wit and irrepressible crap detector. Should you meet Cyril, tell it as it is, or else!
Squadron
flock of birds, gaggle of geese, squadron of pelicans....
I'm having a pelican moment.
pelicans must be one of my fav birds, but I used to be terrified of them. My father told me pelicans eat small bad children when they misbehave. Obviously I was being a small annoying child at the time he imparted this factoid. I believed him for a very long time after!
This squadron of pelicans were seen mooching on the beach at St Helens and weren't at all bothered by small annoying grown up person pretending to sneak up on them for photos
