Austin, TX Photowalk: Fire Truck
I'm in Austin, TX this week for some training for work. A group of my colleagues got together and went on a photowalk near the hotel. Aftwards, we went back to the hotel and critiqued each other's photos. It was a blast. These are my best from the walk.
There was a fire station nearby and the garage doors were open. We went in and asked the fire fighters if they would let us photograph stuff inside the firehouse and they graciously agreed. They even pulled one of the trucks out for us!
It was pretty dark when I tried to photograph this, so I tried using a remote flash to partially light the truck. The remote flash is my SB-900. The commander was the built in flash on my D7000 body.
