last month, my toilet needed repairs. all mechanical parts, all seals, all washers and bolts were original, from the mid-1980s. i paid too much to have it fixed. my garbage disposal, tonight, made a horrible cry, obviously something got in that should not. i cannot imagine what, but now when i turn the switch, i hear only the whine of the motor's futility.
a toast: here is to appliances. and home-ownership. and adulthood.
not to mention monthly budgets. but at least one can live without a garbage disposal (so far it still functions as a drain). toilets are another issue.
The engine part of the train
Apparently, one has to walk through this area to get to the cock pit. :) I wouldn't want to be in there when the engine is running. Not that it can run, the train is in a state of disrepair. I think the city should free up some funds so it can be repaired, mainly the broken window on the locomotive and the water damage on some of the ceilings inside.
