Double Suction Pump
- the liquid is channeled inside the pump casing to both sides of the impeller. This provides a very stable hydraulic performance because the hydraulic forces are balanced. The impeller sits in the middle of the shaft which is supported on each end by a bearing. Also the N.P.S.H.R.
- A pump where the rotor is suspended between two bearings with the fluid entering on either side of the impeller. Used at higher capacities
Automotive Rig: Mounted & Ready
As per request, this is the rig mounted onto the car.
Before I place the camera onto the attachment, I first check that the pump cups are at full suction and the warning indicator is not showing. I also check the compression couplers to be sure there is no play in the boom. I then tighten and double check the knobs on the clamps and the magic arm. Finally, I place weight onto the boom and make sure it is sturdy.
Then, I put my camera on, and the magic happens!
