Another One Bites the Dust
We have had a crisis here at Casa Lulu. The monitor on my seven year old Gateway refused to power up this morning. It was time and frankly, I'm glad it died because it had an annoying blue stripe down the side of it that has been a pain since I used Windex to clean it about six months ago. It gave me an excuse to go get a new monitor like the one I have on my new PC.
To make sure it would work on the old machine, I took the monitor off the new PC and installed it on the old one (with a great deal of 'help' from Lulu). Notice how they always manage to get between you and what you are trying to do?
It worked great so I loaded the girl up and we headed to the local computer store. The monitor I wanted was out of stock of course but they had one at their store across town. They could have it for me in maybe a couple of hours.
Great!
Lulu and I went to the park. It's a balmy 38° here right now and we walked until we got the call. Came back home and Lulu helped once again as I installed the new monitor on my new PC.
Crisis averted. I'm back on the new machine right now and there is a screensaver running on the old one.
